Don't get SC points for awards.
No, but he has to be considered as a 3rd year player, with 3 PS's under his belt ......he's almost made your selection criteria too of 50 games

He's played 23 games?

11 scores under 80 this year.

GWS.

425K~ ish.

Looks like an absolutely putrid pick to me.

SPS is a dud. He could $200k and I wouldn't touch him

Mystifying how he’s played 100 odd games really.

At 200k he’s lineball because of JS, at 350k you don’t want to think about it.

At that kind of price you’re expecting them to become a quasi-premium - IMO SPS is just a bit of a dud and elite games happen once or twice a year tops. That’s about the case for any best 22 player though.

Do we agree or not ? ....

IMO:

Butters - lock if forward. Should be DPP
Powell - rate, but awkward price
Day - rate, but injury-prone. High risk high reward though. Could be next year’s CJ
Fisher - handy player, but not SC relevant
Hayward - mid sized forwards don’t score well historically unless they spend plenty of time in the middle also. Heeney had a big end to the year and had to be considered though

I reckon he’s actually a better show next year, but that could be pure optimism.

Unbelievable he still only averaged 55 odd as a FT inside mid.

Not SC relevant, but interesting to see how he goes with Voss as coach.

Wouldn’t touch him in SC either but I actually think he’ll go well.

Is he unfit? He seems to have quarters/halves where he dominates and then goes missing for the rest of the game.

Is dunkley injury prone or just a bit unlucky last two seasons with syndesmosis and a shoulder dislocation?
Impact injuries are down to luck a bit imo. He tackles a lot and cracks in so always a chance to cope those sort of injuries. Has shown he's a good SC scorer, so would be hard to pass on if forward eligible.

It's the kents with the soft tissue niggles that must be avoided. Zilliams a good example, seems to strain something in every match.

Zac Fisher?

Dunkley’s a lock. Was averaging high 120’s before his injury.

What’s the read on Gawn? I unfortunately saw how good Jackson can be in that third quarter of the granny… I reckon he takes bulk ruck minutes.
Jackson turns games on their head. He is only 19 and he was one of the main players responsible for a grand final win. I really just wanna see how much muscle he puts on this off season because that will help him win more hitouts and increase his scoring potential. If he bulks up and the word coming out of Melbourne is that he'll take more ruck time, i'll start him 100%. Gawn is no longer a guaranteed 120 every week, will still likely be one of the best rucks but he won't be very good value.

If Dunkley has a faultless PS he seems to go bang .....but his recovery from injury destroys his SC suitability ....he just can't bounce back after injury

Does he get his role and minutes back to what they were pre-injury? Were they still nursing him back at the end of the season? Assuming he keeps DPP, wouldn't be shocked if he didn't though.

Gawn will still be one of the top scoring rucks, but Jackson will continue to cap his scoring. The gap between #2 and #3 in the rucks used to be 20 odd points which justified paying up. Don't think that will be the case anymore.

George Hewett is worth a look depending on how high up he ends up on the Blues' midfield totem pole.

Should cost a touch under $400k, capable of big scores when he's played in the midfield. Could easily see him becoming a sideways trade to a premium.

buttox old mate, Bazzo #1 for the Black Ducks in their winning GF gonna be a beaut for your club if you pick him, had a nice game in the GF today. :thumbsu:
He looks good doesn't he.
I really want JVR to slip to 19.
Then on trade 20 for crazy stuff.
If North get one of those they will be a viable SC rookie.
Tarrant gone, one would slot into third tall defender.
Its either them or Josh Walker.
My moneys on the new kid.

JVR looks versatile too, looks a campaigner.
Bazz D4:lock:

Will Phillips 257k mid/fwd.
Any chance he gets midfield time?
Yep.
But i doubt he goes 80+ which you would need at that price.
Watchlist at best IMO.
Cunners, Simpkin, LDU, Thomas, Stephenson, Jed, Phillips, Horne, Powell will all get midfield minutes.
That is a lot of players to share the time.
And im sure I missed some.
