Like it. Rowell is going to be very tempting if he looks good in the preseason games.

I actually like this team prices should be pretty close and it equals $ 10,027,000

4 playing rookies in defense might be a stretch, although we must be due after the last few years.

Think you'll hold your nerves on those rucks? Lynch won't be 124k either.

Good team though :thumbsu:

Has just been spoken up a bit by our recruiting team.
As a third tall defender. @197cm
Excellent kick.
Would only be competing with Josh Walker for a spot.
The bar is low.

Touted by Rawlings as a possible Tarrant replacement in a fox sports article today too.
Hopefully have our D8 sorted already.

Reckon we’ll get de koning as a 124k defender who’ll get games for geelong next year as well. Will be slow burns along with that north rookie but reckon the Cats have no choice but to play him and Cooper Stephens who’ll be a nice rookie on the mid bench too

Don't forget Will Gould, he's a lock.

Ive been having a discussion on another thread in regards to which players in the past have averaged 25 touches and kicked 2 goals a game over a season.
Turns out we can only find 2 players who have ever done it. Kevin Bartlett and Leigh Mathews.
Mathews did it 3 times with the record for a year being 27.4 touches and 3.8 goals a game. Probably 160 SC average.
Then I stumbled on this this morning

250sc easily.
For a total thug Jesus he could footy.
11 goals from the midfield.

I think this is what you are referring to.
That looks promising from a SC perspective.

This bloke is another to watch out for.
His last 5-6 games in the VFL were very impressive going at about 25 touches a game. Best kick at the club.
Walker may not play round 1 but will play early at a guess.
HBF / wing.

he's my second GOAT behind Frosty.

The goals are the hard bit.
That is 44 goals for the season.
Recency bias on Petracca and Dusty.
The stat hasn't been broken in 45 years.
They wont even come close.
yeah good point, tough considering the coleman winners are kicked 3 goals a game let alone a mid to kick 2.

it's a trade-off, more goals, less touches, more touches, less goals. the game doesn't suit that high goalkickers now.

maybe we see a Key forward play sometimes in the ruck and get close?

25 touches would be an insane average for a tall bloke.
Pretty much 5-7 touches more than the best KPF ever.
We are talking GOAT level if someone ever breaks it.
Its pretty much a mid / forward stat.
Maybe a small forward.

Stop getting our hopes up with all these rookie kents.

This is the time of the year for melting that there won't be any and we all have to go full MPM.
