Here’s a random question; lowest number of votes for a third place in the history of this award?
In a non-COVID affected season it would be Rocky's 25 votes in 2016 if I'm looking at the figures correctly.

Apologies for not providing any interesting stats, between moving house and having COVID it has slipped down my list of priorities.

How many games has Lyons and Matho gained votes?
This season? Lyons has polled votes in three games out of twenty-two played and Mathieson has polled in three out of six full games played (one game he was also an unused sub).

Random Notes:

  • Lachie Neale becomes our first three time winner and the award may very well be named after him when he stops playing.
  • Lachie posted the most number of votes in a season, beating his own record of 68 votes in 2020 which considering the reduced number of games shows what a dominant season it was.
  • Hugh's 54 votes is the most polled by a runner-up and coincidentally the same number of votes he polled last year to win the award.
  • Interestingly this is the most amount of players polling at least one vote with 27 since 2016 when 28 players polled votes. Usually around 21-22 players poll at least one vote during a season.
