It has been over a week now and have had time to partially get over the unbelievable pain and shattering disappointment.
In the cold hard light of day however I have decided that even though we should have won/drawn and be playing next week. And that there are a
dozen incidents that can be pinpointed as to reasons why we are not..........
FACT IS when I heard Walsh was a late out I gave us NO CHANCE. That meant three of our starting on ballers were out....WOW!!
What we did with out these boys was nothing short of brilliant and I am so proud of our overall effort.
Imagine if Melb. lost Pertracca, Viney and Brayshaw or Collongwood Pendles , Sidebottom and Daicos ?
I doubt very much they would have done what we have in consecutive weeks. It was in reality, very impressive.
So yes, I am very much a glass half full person and as much as it hurts to miss, this will be harnessed and with some luck re. injuries
drive us to our 17th flag that we know now that this group can deliver!
