At least Ladhams shows traits of being an AFL player level and has time to figure it out. Maybe he knows hes in the side next week.

Melican... well we tried him and P McCartin is well ahead. Maybe he knows he wont be selected soon. Feels its a helpless situation.

Melican is not up to it. Needs someone telling him what to do. Will Gould tho playing on taller blokes gets out bodied and marked far too easily.

What we are seeing with Ladhams is what I saw last week. Cannot clunk contested marks and is iffy with ball ups.

Looks like they took L Mac off. He's having a good game. Of the newbies, Angus was quieter that quarter and butchered a couple of possies but is happy doing heavy work. Roberts was ok and can find it.

Definitely not much competition with the backline thats for sure. The backline in the seniors will hopefully get better as the season goes along. Only 3 games together, 2 without JMac.
