Some really really positive signs.
Also the connection quality of the feed was great. Broadcasting these games for free is one of the few things the AFL has done right.

only watched the 2nd half, but I thought Gould was very good. hope he keeps it up and gets a chance in the seniors this year.

he move really well, took a mark at centre half back, the play then comes back into Footscray forward line, Gould is already back, punching the ball out of bounds. Also at times, seemed to be organising things in the backline.
Nice marks and kicks.

All played well. Looks like a, xqouple of injuries though.
I thought Collins was good

Sinkas kicked 3
Ronke kicked 3
Taylor & Clarke were good and seemed to manage to hit up teammates. Which makes a change foe both.

I know we drafted McAndrew's as a speculative player but I am feeling confident in saying that in a year or two he is going to not only be playing first-team football but regular first-team football.

Best game by Gould in the Red and White and his kicking is 'A' grade, although he appeared to be 'gassed' several times, maybe still needs a lot of work.
Sinkers playing FF and perfect role for him, Mc Andrew really showing the goods.
Warner, Rankin, Roberts were good in first games and old stagers dominated with Taylor and Clarke.
Could have been a 10 goal win but a nice start.
