Vfl side looks clean for the most part. Its the finishing kick that is letting us down.

However its good to see the game plan the seniors are using is trickling down into the 2s

We really should have another couple of goals at QT, just some basic turnovers and questionable decisions around goal.

Swans 2.4.16 to 0.3.3

Amartey with the 2 goals, presenting well.

Ladhams didn't even seem to jump for the first few ruck duels, has presented ok, but kicking for goal/target not so much.

As mentioned, Gould with some good rebound kicks but let down by teammates fumbling the ball.

Taylor, Clarke picking up from last year with effort.

Bulldogs have real depth in the umpiring ranks.

Fox, Melican and COR have been good. Amartey has all the athletic gifts but is a bit dopey.

I feel bad for him. I remember listening to Brandon Jack's interview with Dyl Buckley where he talked about how being in the reserves can be quite toxic if you let it get on top of you. Kinda feel like Ronke has got worse with every season that it becomes harder for him to make the AFL side.

Basically to be in consideration for the first team our younger players need to play as well as Clarke, Fox, Taylor, COR etc.

It's all about the attitude I guess. Sinclair spent a long time struggling battling away in the seniors, knowing full well he was not the genuine ruckman that we needed, so he probably saw this scenario where he's a reserves staple playing out and has made peace with it. Ronke, on the other hand, was drafted along with his close mates Florent & Hayward, experienced the highest of highs very early in his senior career, and probably had a right to expect he had a decent career ahead of himself. Injuries and form happened, and now he's also a reserves staple, but he probably didn't think it would pan out this way. It's a tough reality for a young fella.
