I bet the Rowie poster whoever he is on here, got worried about his employment. lol. :D
Real reason they got Timmy on 5AA was to transition Rowie off... ;)

Rowie will end up being KG Cunningham II.

He is basically in his infancy at 5AA, another 30+ years ahead of us of listening to him.

I presume KG will no longer be on the air in 30 years. :$

EDIT KG will be 113 years old in 30 years time.

5AA will have KG recording from his nursing home...

Not strictly a rumour but more of a good news snippet...

My son works in Melbourne and has regular contact with ROB's Dad. I'm told he's completely proud of his lad and always wears Crows merch. And on the back of each garment.... a full sized 43.

ROB cops a bit of stick in here and especially from me. But I couldn't help but smile to know how proud a man is of his son and choice of club.

Nah, Rowie is more the type to retire and spend his days fishing. Probably not while James is playing though.

My son is only very young, but if he plays AFL one day I'll wear whatever colours he wears. (With a crows top underneath)

Unless it's port. I'll have failed as a dad for not convincing him to play the thebarton home sickness card

I'm likely to be living in Geelong if my future son ever becomes a footballer.
I will have failed if he supports anyone other than the crows.
Actually.. he doesn't get dinner until he devotes himself.

I may have a son or daughter out there, the 2000s was a bit of wild time for me. :$

Glory be if I ever they support Port Power. :drunk:
The son I'm speaking of began life as a Crows supporter but the pressure of Geelong life and school and mates etc...you know how it ended.

He's turned out to be my best footy buddy and we go to many games here in Geelong and Melbourne. Even when neither of our teams are playing. I haven't cared one bit, about him not supporting my team. He loves footy and that'll do me. 😊

it can be done. my son was born in melbourne and been a crows supporter since he was conscious of football living in melbourne the entire time.

played school and club footy, saw friends get drafted-goes to matches of all teams but always goes with me to our games in melbourne and adelaide.

key points for those with young sons:
  • take them to the footy very young. before they can walk
  • always go to supporter days when they are young to meet the players - photos and signatures
  • enter competitions to get your kid to run out as the mascot (unforgettable experience for a kid)
  • get them interested in stats
  • find other kids that are crows supporters in melbourne or wherever you are
  • threaten to not feed them if they dont follow adelaide 🤣

I had my lad with me at the MCG oneday in the late 90's and North blew us off the park in the first quarter. We had many North supporters around us and they were having a great time as you'd expect. Lots of loud cheering. Then, late in the quarter and after yet another North goal, my 6/7 year old lad bursts into tears and cries out "they can never catch up from here!"

I still occasionally goad him with having shed tears for the Crows. His usual comeback is not often charming.
