It was mentioned in the channel 7 broadcast a few weeks ago that McAsey was linked to WB. They said they were also looking at Logue from Fremantle.
They referred back to it several times as Keath and Gardiner were getting killed.

Haven't you been watching the SANFL Crows this year?

Now Godden has more AFL players available and some very decent top ups at his disposal the team is very competitive and are actually melding very well playing an attacking brand of footy usually with plenty of run and link up play.

Cmon. You are on this board often enough to know everyone associated with the club is terrible regardless of resume or past history

But equally watching our AFL side this year - our midfield has been very very ordinary and the growth of our young mids has stalled and that is under Godden's watch in the Developing SANFL

Have they stalled under Goddens watch.

I think Berry is breaking out?

Schoenberg issues have been more so AFL level but has played some decent footy at Sanfl and gets another chance this week

Pedlar does seem up and down as a mid

Hateley did well early in the year and got his chance (and took it) in the senior team

I guess Soligo has been poor….

And Taylor looks terrible as well?

So I probably give you Pedlar as stalled in the Sanfl

Rankine is not worth a first round pick, Cameron was only worth one as Brisbane had to overpay to get a contracted player who had kicked 5 in a PF out of Adelaide.

Obviously haven’t been watching Gold Coast much - understandably. Rankine has shown all the signs of being a gun this year. Would trade him for a 10-20 pick in a second - would instantly make us better and be in our top 5 for class

As for kicking efficiency, which measures the percentage of kicks that are effective, Harry Schoenberg (44 per cent), Murphy (49.4) and Jones (64.6) are rated poor for their position by Champion Data. while Keays (52.2), Josh Rachele (55.3) and Walker (58.3) are considered below average.

Frampton (90.2), Butts (89.1), Jake Soligo (75.5) and Darcy Fogarty (70.8) are listed as elite in the statistic.

I have watched them, every game. He has been better than last year but he still goes at 50% in front of goals. I wouldn't be far off where you are with pick 20 but I think pick 10 is pretty rich, if we have pick 10, that goes on a mid, not a small forward who misses more often than he kicks goals...we have them already

But I like the idea of trading with our second for a first.

Like Sholl + 22 for Carlton 14.

That puts Sholl at pick 47, which may be a bit low, but is aggressive when we don't have a lot of list spots

That sort of trade could be huge for us if it was possible. we would / should get 2 picks inside any possible bid for Michalanney - so if we went to the draft with that hand, its very likely we get Tsatsas around pick 3/4 and then could get a crack at Phillipou or Keeler and then get Michalanney with junk picks for points if he gets a bid in the 2nd round. I like your thinking on that

DEMON SET TO STAY AFTER CROWS MEETING

Melbourne will retain young small forward Kade Chandler despite him meeting with Adelaide last weekend.

News Corp Australia revealed the Crows’ pursuit of Chandler this week as they looked to bolster a small forward group that includes James Rowe, Shane McAdam, Lachie Murphy and Ned McHenry.
