Rowe was probably one of our better players

Reeks of old school footballer. I'd have him over Mchenry or Murphy...

Rowe is a tough one to decide on, he has more natural talent in his little finger than Murph and Ned and i also think he has better trade value than both of them. At this point, to me his biggest issues are lack of pace, going in hard (sometimes he has picked his time, which i think has dropped him behind the short people as Nicks loves hardnuts)and his broken tackles.

I like Rowie but if we were getting a pick to cover F/S NGAs etc, we may have to bite the bullet

The thing for me is that in a forward line of Tex/Fog/RT/McAdam/Rachele/Rankine, I’d be most confident of running with Ned or Murphy as the 7th forward than Rowe, for defensive purposes. Keays as the 8th forward that rotates through the middle a bit

As you say, if moving him is a feasible means of getting points, you might have to move him on

If we are going to trade out Fish and Frampton, we will need something back as KPD depth.

Is that Weideman?

What about:
McAsey + Sholl

For
Oscar McDonald + 2nd round pick

McAdam isn't a small forward. He's a 3rd tall.
Pedlar is a long way off at the moment and is more likely to be a mid/fwd.
Cook is a wing/3rd tall forward.
We don't have Rankine yet.

So yeh, we have Rachele, Murphy, Newchurch that are actually 'small forwards'.
You do realise that McAdam and Newchurch are about the same height/weight? Obviously Newchurch’s body needs to mature/harden up to match 27yo McAdam.

McAdam would be the shortest tall in the AFL …. moreso than Newchurch being potentially the tallest small.

Pedlar is taller than McAdam and has a similar high leap.

Pedlar 184cm
McAdam 183cm
Newchurch 182cm

We should be able to find a decent KPD somewhere in the state league's or the rookie draft who can act as depth. We picked up Murray as a rookie and he has been fine for what we need.

I was talking about small forwards - Murphy, McHenry, Rowe etc... Guys who are supposed to be the crumbing types.
McAdam does not fit that bill at all. He is primarily a marking target, despite his height.

What's happening with Mitch McGovern's next contract? Actually feel like he's playing surprisingly good footy down back at the moment.

He's been nothing short of a disaster of a trade for the CFC, but has showed talent at both ends during his career. I wouldn't be against a cheeky offer if he didn't cost any draft capital.

He suffered a potential career ending injury against Melbourne on the weekend. Who knows if he'll be back

Got sent a link to some AFL rumour site.

Rowe to Doggies
McAsey to Carlton

Mixed feelings here, although unsure of the sites accuracy.

Rowe, fair enough. We have a glut of these kind of players.

McAsey, cut losses? We won't get much for him.

I can see both of these going well at these clubs though.
