How bloody ridiculous is that $1500 fine they’re talking about for Hipwood pushing an opponent in to an umpire.

Touch the umpires chest, 8 weeks.
Push a bloke in to him at pace and send him flying to the ground instead, hand us a few dollars.

AFL logic 101.

Did either player know the ump was there? Is the ump stupid for getting in the road? Both players were looking at the play further up the ground and the push was just a natural action within the contest. The ump needs to position himself so that he can see what's happening, probably 5 to 15 metres away from where he was.
