Nick Austin is pleased to welcome two new players to the Carlton Football Club.

Austin describes Hayes as having elite endurance and we see him as a winger or high forward.

He gives competition to Newnes/LOB/Cottrell on the wing, and Fisher/Durdin/Carroll/Martin up forward. He's arguably already ahead of a few of those players based on VFL form.

Hope the Hayes lad becomes a 150 gamer for the Blues, but gee, I see (literally) Nick Graham when I look at him!!

But Durdin has been top of our list since end of round 4. Would of preferred Durdin as a Jones replacement without losing Weitering for 6 weeks

Weiters will mentor him for those 6 weeks. Durdin is first rounder so can play
