Melbourne are still in their AFLW season. Ours is over.

That doesn't seem to make a difference. We still had ours playing a few VFLW matches last season after our AFLW season finished, and we had one last week. Where's the rest of them?

They are on break since their season has ended. Some more might play over the next few weeks but if the next season is being brought forward, they might also sit out since preseason would be right around the corner as well.

Thats a big difference than the Melbourne players who are still in their season and fighting for spots to play in a prelim.

Yeah it probably makes more sense this time, if they're starting in August.

Our runner going between the mark gifted a 50m and first goal to Port, can't say that I've seen that before!

Good win, 45-22. That's probably the best umpired match I can remember. Strange thing to say but they kinda just nailed everything.

I know Port are a lower ranked team, but still good to respond after last weeks thumping.

Keeping them scoreless in the last quarter while kicking 2.3 was a good way to end.

Healthy win.
Lucy Burke moving to the forward line and kicking goals, could be an inspired move.
Alice Burke having a massive game, don't forget this is from 20% less gametime too!
Woodward always been a tackling machine.
Some of the Southern Saints would be looking to get drafted. They've been a solid team this year.

Greiser IN! Fill ya boots!

I have a feeling Tahlia Meyer might be off to Hawthorn. Meyer went back to SA to play SANFLW for a few weeks, then returned to Victoria recently and has played a few matches with the Hawks (even played against us two weeks ago!). All the best to Tahlia if this is the case.

Win 44-28. Big game from G. 10 marks is sensational.

Bulldogs next week, let's aim to keep them goalless and get a big win.

Demons with their first loss today. The two expansion clubs on top of the ladder, Bombers and Hawks. They don't need the extra handouts ffs.

Great to see Greiser play and play well.

Says to me she is trying to spend her off season improving her game and thats exactly what we need more of.

It is. G kicked 3.2 just in the last quarter when the game was on the line. First goal broke a few tackles then snapped. Second goal from a contested mark against two! And earlier set up Burke's goal by breaking through a tackle at speed, great to see, we need to see that at the next level.

So many smart players at SS. They seem to swing the players around week to week and try them out in different positions. I hope some get drafted, they're a good bunch.

Big final three matches. A win tomorrow and we've locked in finals.

Blues need to win tomorrow to keep their finals hopes alive.
Then we have top of the ladder Bombers who we drew with earlier this season, we're the only team they haven't defeated!
Finally the Roos, who are knocking on the finals door as well.

Looks like we'll end up finishing 4th or 5th.
