Win or lose, it's been another solid season by the team. Three finals series in a row.
The St Kilda Sharks were successful before the Saints, too. A number of guns came from them.

Sheesh the Hawks nailed the first three goals of the quarter with some loose team defence from us. Then we kicked the last three and dominated possession. Up 53-39 going into the last.

Heading to the Prelim! Saints win 55-39.

Gentile and Capsalis a wall down back in the last. Jolliffe had a good game. Stuart was everywhere and has some sort of death grip, once she has a hand on you, you can't escape. Excellent tackling and set-up behind the ball, and good ball use to chip around and wind down the clock. Plenty of run and dishing off the handball, very neat.

Great result. Hawthorn was one of the teams we struggled against early in the season so what a great turn around.

Bring on Melbourne. Played our worst game of the season against them (lost 97 to 8) so going to be a huge effort to get up.

Yeah, in that game against Melbourne they used 11 AFLW players, we had one. Three of those Demons ended up playing in the AFLW Grand Final! It was a ridiculous matchup that one.

The Dees had one AFLW player in their team today (Alison Brown, who is also a former Saint) and got smashed by the Bombers, so we might be an even chance next week. We have a very smart team.

Is there a particular reason that the AFLW listed girls don't play in the VFLW side? Like how the men's competition does it?
I think it's just the club not wanting to risk anybody with the season so close at hand. Last year Burke, Matin and Smith played pretty regular VFLW matches.

Most other clubs are doing the same. Essendon is the only club that has been playing AFLW listed players in significant numbers.

We're down by 4 points midway through the 1st quarter.

Umps have missed a few HTBs to us, Dees taking us on and just dropping it in the tackle.

Cracking mark to Slater in the goalsquare. Reminded me of when Glenn Archer was all over Gehrig, giving him a massive wedgie, but G just stood his ground and clunked it.

Stuart so good in close. Had a bunch of smothers too.
De Angelis has been very good but could've really torn this match apart, dropped a couple of marks but it's slippery.
