Just catching up on the thread, but surely nobody is taking that crap about Roma seriously? It is about the most transparent article ever written

Eseendon were coming off a huge loss and bottom 4 (sitting 1-6). They just dropped Sheil, who is entering the prime years of what looks like the AFL's worst contract. Their No.1 pick and great hope puts off contract talks to the end of the season. Their three top 10 picks are all unsigned. People are talking about sacking the coach and all the negative media attention is on the club and players like Parish.

Then suddenly there is a 'leak' from the Bombers about them recruiting a big name elsewhere. Wow. What a coincidence. Could that possibly be designed to change the media narrative?

And $750k. Please!! Roma is 100% a core part of our plans, and a gun when fit. We would easily pay that and more. To get a player to move requires paying overs or finding someone lacking opportunity. Roma is best 22 every day of the week, and surely we would pay him that money in a heartbeat. Offer a Grundly style contract (both in length and $$) and suddently Roma has a genuine 50/50 decision to make (like Draper did when we offered him 3 years coming off an ACL and without really playing a game).

But moving to a club in the same city, who hasnt won a final since Moses walked the Earth, for the same opportunity and roughly the same $$?? Unless he likes being injected with unknown substances on a regular basis, or there is a multi-million $$ under the table property portfolio (which to be fair might be the case), then that is complete and utter horses**t

And if it is all coming from Roma's management, well fair play. Kid is worth every cent of $750k and moving forward (for me anyway) should be our highest paid player behind Max and maybe Steele.
