Rosman unlucky in he has gotten himself injured too often in the last 2 seasons . Howes a better winger than Baker . I think Baker has been around long enough and hasn’t been considered first team standard . His disposal is his weak link . If it was me he would be shopped around or delisted.

Funny with Rosman, we drafted him to be a winger then proceeded to give Baker time on the wing over him like Baker is something worth persisting with.

More crazy Goody s**t.
Rosman was absolutely hopeless on the wing, he couldn't read the play. he got moved to back pocket as a last resort to try get something out of him and he was like an even worse version of Joel Smith. it would have been a pretty easy decision to delist him imo, he just never looked like being an AFL footy player as there was just too much that needed fixing.

Its a shame, coz he'd be perfect as a winger, can run, height to drop back and help out in defense. Id have persisted with for another season. Maybe we can rookie him.

I'm honestly kinda dumbfounded at the vitriol from the usual happy clappers on social media regarding cutting Rosman.

Cool, he's athletic. He also averaged 10.6 possessions and 1.3 tackles in 24 games at VFL level in positions that are conducive to winning easy ball (HB and wing). Not a great kick either.

If he's not showing much at all at that level, why bother with a list spot. If the club sees something in him still, easy enough to chuck him on the rookie list. Doubt there'll be much of a battle for his services.

*opinion voided if Baker gets a new contract.

Spot on with everything you said. It just shows the Goodwin still doesn't have a read on our deficiencies. Another season with this forward line is just going to be another wasted season.
Yeah, not suggesting we should have gone after Dunkley, but he's a goal kicking mid averaging 25 touches a game. Kicked about the same amount of goals as Trac. He'll be a great addition to the Lions as will Ashcroft who looks a gun. I don't think Lions are getting worse. Gunston would make them even more dangerous down forward. McStay going means maybe Daniher sounds more time in the ruck? Will be interesting to see how they play that out.

Seriously we are doing the pies a favour taking Grundy off their list . No way we give them a first round pick as well . I would prefer we don't take him at all . Was injured for most of the last season , and i personally don't think he is the answer .

Goodys language makes it sound like we're all in for Grundy which I'm not happy about. I don't care if pies are paying a chunk of his crazy salary, it's still going to be plenty out of our cap and his deal is extremely long too (already a bit concerned about how many we have on big deals atm). As has been discussed, I don't see how he works with Gawn. If we give up any significant trade currency when the pies are desperate to move him on it will be the cherry on top.

Well there's simply no way it can work. Gawn is a horrific shot for goal so he can't play forward, Grundy hasn't showed forward craft, Ben Brown and Tmac are cooked and JVR is unproven.

Todays game is about momentum. Missing goals not only hurts the scoreboard pressure but its basically a turnover and the other team most likely gets a forward entry from it. I'd like to see champion data put easy missed shots as clangers.

No team goes at even close to 50% at scoring from kick ins

Momentum is a bit of a nonsense intangible that can only be measured in hindsight. It's impossible to know when a team kicks a goal whether they will kick the next one, two or ten. You might as well say the modern game is all about 'spirit' or 'energy'.

Pretty sure there was a stat this year that you were more likely to score from your own behind than the opposition

Probably the exact reason we kick to contests from the FB line.

Rosman was a speculative pick during the COVID years where recruiters had to make decisions based off much less vision/exposure. Had some athletic gifts and could take a grab, but never really looked like taking the step up at any point and got unlucky with injury.
The social media melts are hilarious. Reminds me why I don't go down the nuffy rabbithole of Demonland etc. We're actually a good, (for the most part) educated group on here

Port are obviously super keen according to the media reports, but there's currently zero evidence that there's any reciprocal keenness from Kozzie.

So, no concern about it happening this year. However, I would be concerned if it got to the middle of next year and he hasn't signed a contract extension.
