Do North have anything that's not shit?
Todd Viney is doing list managing now at North, Clarko is stood down, maybe Jack can get in his dad's ear. Surely Todd wants his son to have more success?
Couldn't be hard to shake some apple from that rotting tree... "Hey Norf spud, come get some Premiership DNA!"
Surely they have something we can pry off them. Weid has some fantastic finals experience from 2018 and a Globetrotters flag, surely that's attractive to Kangaroo? Must be.

Jack Viney for Larkey

I thought we could've had a crack at JHF. Obviously going to be an elite player. He's probably at his cheapest now in terms of trade worth. He has a certain level of intensity which I love and has elite power. He doesn't suit an obvious need but you'd be crazy not to look at a guy who is basically a 19 year old Dangerfield.

0 chance he moves to another Melbourne club under contract

The under contract, number 1 pick from last year is at his lowest trade worth now :drunk:

Its dansters world, we are all just living in it.

Geelong’s flag shows that we basically need more players over 30. Need to trade them in while at low value. We need to get: Tex Walker, Zorko, Pendlebury & Sidebottom, Heppell, Fyfe, Rory Thompson, Ward, Breust & Gunston, Goldstein, Boak, Cotchin & Riewoldt, Hurn & Stef Martin.

tbf I don't know why we didn't throw some cash at Walker

Jack Bowes contract is only $1.1m over the next 2 years and picking him up comes with pick 7 as a sweetener, surely you would have to take a look at that?

After the 2021 flag, I think there was a clear picture of what a successful MFC team of 2022-2025 was going to look like - basically the same plus replacements for BB and Hibberd - with a few playing the 2s coming in.

With the departure of Jackson, and the shambles that was 2022 finals, I think its clear that that picture is now different.

This trade period could be the articulation of that new vision, bringing in good players who fit together with our stars - players who play a role and contribute to success.

Or it could go the other way - we bring in overpaid spuds to chock the holes in the old picture, living in the past and clinging to loyalties that have ceased to pay dividends.

Do me proud, JT

We'd be stupid not to take that I reckon. Seems a given were gonna have money free in the cap this year. Take the pick 7 and by the time they develop we can get rid of some fringe players on ok money like Hunt/ANB/Pig etc.

Yeah even if they negotiate his deal across an extra year

Geelong strongly linked to Jack Bowes, coz of course they are

Taylor wont really have much to do with the trade period decisions other than giving feedback on who we could get with certain picks.

If we go old and experienced it will all be Goody.

Cornes is going to end up kidnapping Kozzy and making him play for Poort at this rate

These dipshits are now spelling his name Kozzie after spelling it Kossie yesterday? **** me. They might get it right by the end of the trade period.

Can someone please explain the Grundy situation? I'm trying to wrap my head around it.. Is the plan to play Grundy on-ball and have Gawn spend more time forward?

Cal Twomey just reported on Trade Radio that Adam Tomlinson is happening not with us anyway.

yep. he was worth 3 first round picks before the season started. (that's what Adelaide offered him). He has chosen not to extend his contract right? So he has 1 year remaining. It's the same as Kozzie, if Kozzie was to leave, we'd be much better off to find a trade for him now than wait a year and have no leverage at the trade table.
