I always knew losing Toby Bedford, Jayden Hunt, Adam Tomlinson and Sam Weideman would be the end of our flag window

Bunch of 4th rounders won’t be anything to call home about
But apparently we can turn those picks around into superstars can we 🤔

Surely with Daw, Brown, Hunt, Tomlinson, Rosman, Bedford, Weiderman out the door we could throw our hat in the ring for pick 7

Even if they were earning 100k each it’s enough cash

Sitting here waiting patiently for the news of Oskar Baker's 2 year contract extension. Won't be able to have a good night sleep until it gets done.

you would think that a fair chunk of that cash would have been eaten up by Oliver,Trac & Brayshaws resignings.

So at the moment we likely have 7-8 players going out

And Grundy + 1 first rounder (possibly not even in 2022) coming in.

And we have no money left because Petracca Oliver and Brayshaw are consuming our whole cap.

Its bloody disgusting hey

I've heard we are going into 2023 with 4 less main list spots because we gave all the money to Grundy, Trac, Oliver, Brayshaw and Ben Brown.

We were going to sign Josh Kelly who was looking at getting out of GWS with all the instability there but we couldn't promise him any midfield minutes because Brayshaw has it written into his contract that if he's fit and hitting certain markers that he gets 75%+ midfield minutes (centre square only, no wing time)

Club has put in a special request to AFL house to fill the list with rookie spots and we are looking at re-drafting Pat Mckenna on rookie wages (JT loved him in his draft year and feels like his last stint on our list was ruined by injuries and he's got a new pilates instructor that has sorted out his hamstring issues).

Shambles.

Sack Goody, sound out Clarko.

We should go into the season with 10 less since Goody only plays his mates, even if they are injured or washed up.

If he somehow survives the axe coz we dont have enough money to top up the Nokia pre paid mobile (after spending it all on Trac, Oliver and Gus) to have a chat with Clarko we need to do this to teach him a lesson. Its the only way he'll learn.

So Hunt is leaving? That's sad.

I'll always remember him for kicking an amazing torp one time, falling asleep twice during the 2022 finals debacle v Swans, and sticking his thumb up Petracca's arse in 2020.

Hope he thrives at West Coast :thumbsu:

So Brisbane are bringing in Ashcroft and Dunkley, Collingwood are bringing in Bobby Hill, Mstay, maybe Tom Mitchell. Geelong bring in Ollie Henry, Tanner Bruhn. What are we bringing in to improve our team for next year? Sweet nothing.

If we role out another season with this forward line, opposition teams will start bringing in a defender into the centre stoppages because that's how little respect our forward line will deserve.

West Coast are bringing in Jayden Hunt and we are losing Jayden Hunt. FFS.

Are you telling me when we play West Coast in 2023 that they'll bring Jayden Hunt up to the stoppage and play only 5 defenders because of our miserable forward line?

4D chess from Goody! Hunt is terrible and bringing him up to the stoppage will only benefit us further as he's more likely to turn it over.

The trap has been set

Mate I have been on about this for days, all our competitors are improving there list where as we are running with the same strategy as our game plan and doing nothing

That's true if you literally ignore all the facts that are against your argument.

Did you even read Skythe94's reply to you?

Ok, I guess its my turn to bang my head against the wall. We're bringing in Grundy, how does that not improve us?

His reply is just talking down the players going to other teams, in the exact same way people would have spoken about Brodie and Stengle last year.
No he gave a very reasonable argument talking up some players and talking down some players.

I mean by that logic , aren't you talking down Brodie Grundy (and our multiple picks) in the same way?
