That young Van Es lad looks like one of the best key backs in the draft given how well he went at the combine and his size.

If people really want Petty moving forward, he could be one to slot in down back.

Otherwise I'm all for trying to find a semi decent tall late, or if we must grab a Bruce/Schache in the short term that might be alright.

Sounds like we might be better off trading into future 1st/2nds if possible with next year's draft supposedly to be heaps better.

Really? Mind you I have no idea where they are going but I thought Ashcroft, wardlaw and sheezel were expected top 3 with one pushed out now GWS have moved up for Cadman.

Tsatas is up really high on most phantom draft boards - like 2 or 3 high.

Humphrey, Clark and Mackenzie are generally the next tier of Vic kids and seem to be placed around 5-10 on most boards.

Best asset is is hard running. His VO2max score at age 18 was the best I have seen in a non-alpinist. Basically his ability to get oxygen from the air into his muscles is elite.

I don't mind this if it turns out this way, assuming we won't have to give up much more than we'd give for Weid.

If he gets back to his better form he'd be perfect for the opposite wing to Lingers.

Humphrey is one we want, dangerous around goals. Plays like Heeney, recently collected 31 disposals and kicked 4 goals 5 coming back from injury. Would completely change our forward line dynamic. Worth trading up for.

Pick 13 is an awkward one as it isn’t high enough for the top line forwards (Cadman, Sheezal, Humphrey, Jefferson) but is probably a reach for the next tier (Gruzewski, Konstanty).

And if we arnt looking to draft a forward well then we may as well give up.

I have watched them both a lot.

Weideman is a better deep forward 3/10, Scahche only 1/10. BUT as a high half forward, Schache is 4/10 and Weideman would be like a 2/10.

It depends on what you want. Scahche can run better and kick better but is less good 1v1…. as in is putrid 1v1.

6 is a half dozen. Meh.
