I said at the start of the year that Jacksons value was at its highest coming off the grand final win. If he wanted to go back to Freo his manager would've been wise to agree to terms of a contract 6 months ago. He's only depleting his value each week now, which is indirectly getting us less on the trade table each week.

Nonetheless, WA vs SA on today at 12.30. I'll be watching to check out the key position stocks. The SA ones in particular

Theres literally 0 talk about anyone decent wanting to move back to Vic, thats not to say it wont happen but feels like we will either be reaching for an average player or re investing back in the draft which wont help s**t in our pursuit of flags.
Yeah I know, looking at what's available it's basically lobb or mcstay.

I still think petty has potential as that swing man, especially with our depth in kpd stocks. But other than that we are either relying on JVR coming on quickly or same old. And agree, it's not going to solve shit.

We're not in the premiership window anyway. So there's nothing wrong with hitting the draft. Best available and key forwards the obvious target.

**** the Cats got lucky with Cameron and Tigs with Lynch, imagine landing one of those whilst at the top of your game, there is nobody of that quality available unfortunately. We may have to trust our drafting again, and hope the coaches can sort out our forward woes.

A really good key forward would be great, but what we have did win us a flag last year. Hopefully JVR continues to develop and we draft another prospect. I think the bigger issue is how we deliver and use the ball in the forward 50. Look at last night - we used it pretty well (still some room for improvement) and kicked over 100 points.

Yes we are. It's the same team that won last year.
on paper yes. but basically the whole team is playing worse. And Goodwin hasn't figured out a defensive zone yet to lock the ball in our forward half after a behind. I'm the only guy on Bigfooty who has been calling our defensive zone a disgrace all season long and I'm going to continue to scream it from the rooftops until we get it right. Not even right, just get it from horrific to bad. And then bad to average.

Our manic pressure is also no longer here. So we're not the same team.

I get what you are saying. I'm just disputing the assertion we are not in the window. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

is it bad form if you've been bad all season?

Yeah clarry, petracca, may and gawn are always going to get us wins but we've played maybe 3 good games all year.

I reckon we need a forward/mid more than a KPF. Its basically oliver trac and then B graders and below. We need more quality in the middle. Great KPFs arent necessary when youre a good team

He’s a campaigner and you’d want a very incentive heavy contract but JDG would be excellent. He’s a better forward than Trac and can play midfield. We would also only give up cap space getting him.

Its the type of risk we would never take. Guaranteed a bunch of people on here will be like 'uh hes a w***er no' but we are in the flag winning business not the public image business.

He is probably too expensive but watch Geelong get him playing well under their system and dominating, meanwhile we draft another private school kid who cant string a sentence together in front of a camera.

:moustache: The ego stroking you need to give yourself on a minute by minute basic is excruciating to say the least.

I'd argue trading for May was a risk but I get what you mean. Our list management team has been the strongest part of our footy department for nearly a decade I reckon, happy to trust them to improve us even with Jackson going this summer.

How good was our manic pressure in round 19 last year?

Think you are overplaying it a little there. Its been good, it hasnt been spectacular. We havent had a rookie since Harmes impact, and we havent found our own key forward or key back aside from Petty since Frawley

Heard Jones's babies are being livestreamed via monitor from their cot on Tiktok later tonight. Might be one to keep an eye on as well.
a bit extreme. he's 3 years away. and a likely top 3 pick. It's fair enough to take an interest in the future while some people are pulling their hair out about our forward line on a weekly basis.
