Our stoush wasn't on Gus, in fact I havent even seen your initial comment on the Gus to be honest. Wasn't it Cotchins Hair Piece who came out earlier on the week and pretty much stated that Gus was a Demon for life on a 6 year deal?

Our stoush was more on you being certain that Rivers and Jackson were both certainty to go at end of year which I agreed more on Jackson but not with Rivers.

If Rivers goes at the end of the year I'll bow down and kiss your feet.

Whether it works or not remains to be seen, but I think this is a great strategy.

These are guys to build a side around for the next decade. The next step is to make sure they are surrounded by players with elite skills and give them a decent forward line to kick it to.

Nah they weren't tied.

Mentioned last off-season (2020/1) that a lot of the leadership guys had basically signed on for less to keep the group together. Viney, gawn, lever etc. It's flowed on to petracca and Salem taking less but signing longer. It's why I laughed when media were saying petracca signed for 8 years 900k a year lol nothing like that. I didn't hear exact number but know they were all much less than reported.

If Jackson (and he wont) was to re-sign, there would be ample money... it's why I'm secretly bullish that when he goes we are gonna find someone to put inside 50.

Wanted out last year and couldn’t get the deal done. Less about contract and more about where.
