Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Yeah, maybe they knew they wouldn't be able to get a pick in that range for those picks but they would have a lot more to work with.Good point, surely we offered them this? Surely. Very weird.
Collingwood apparently pissed at us, What we traded for pick 27 was the equivalent of pick 14 based on points.
I said we got hosed at the time with that trade but didnt realise it was by that much.

OR they think they can wait for the Jackson deal to go through and try and force us to give up one of those picks for Grundy.

My theory in this scenario is they knew there was no way we could get a pick between 20-25 because they already asked around and so they thought they could demand one of the Jackson picks with maybe some later pick swapping involved.I think they know the Jackson compo is untouchable, hence asking for a pick between 20-25
Too busy drinking coffee and playing solitaire.Seems to me they are lazy and wanted us to get a trade organised for them, the only conclusion I can make.

Nah it won't happen. Collingwood will fold. They have planned their entire trade period around getting him out, too costly for them to get pissy about a couple of picks. If we give up a first for Grundy in any form im going to be pissed. We should really be offering less than we are given they desperately want him gone and we are the only club hes nominated.

That being said I'm expecting us to fold on Jackson. Just reckon the clubs losing the player are always at a disadvantage.
We definitely fold, as shit as it is 2 picks in the teens are better than nothing.Nah it won't happen. Collingwood will fold. They have planned their entire trade period around getting him out, too costly for them to get pissy about a couple of picks.

We definitely fold, as s**t as it is 2 picks in the teens are better than nothing.
Yeah it's a shame all of West Coast's interest is just a complete bluff. It's also just s**t luck he wants to move to a finals team. If Freos bottom 6 we get that pick
Yeah, agreed. Considering what we've learned over the past few years about how footy clubs operate and communicate when no ones looking (our own included) I highly doubt that they are zen temples of rationality.I think we fold too, cant see Freo budging, particularly after how the Hogan deal worked out, people can think that has nothing to do with it but I reckon clubs absolutely hold grudges over stuff like that. Dont want to be made to look silly again by the same club.
Why would Freo do that. It's 0 benefit to themI think we are hoping Freo Trade Lobb then package there picks to get into the top 7. So Freos pick 13, pick from Dogs and the futures second round to North for Pick 6. Then onto us
Yeah it's a shame all of West Coast's interest is just a complete bluff.
Like in 2018 when we got pick 5 for Hogan. It's also just s**t luck he wants to move to a finals team. If Freos bottom 6 we get that pick
Thinking about this more it would have been so easy for Collingwood to trade with Brisbane who are trying to stack draft points. If Collingwood wanted a pick between 20-25 they would need to come from either West Coast, Brisbane, Essendon, Adelaide or Hawthorn.
If we had given them 33, 43 and 53 straight up it would leave Collingwood with 16, 33, 41, 43, 50, 51, 53
Surely you can do some creative pick swapping with that lot to get yourselves into that range.
I would be pushing for Freos 2 first rounders & Norths 2nd rounder with some change back the other wayWe definitely fold, as s**t as it is 2 picks in the teens are better than nothing.
We aren't getting 3, that's Jeremy Cameron value.I would be pushing for Freos 2 first rounders & Norths 2nd rounder with some change back the other way
3 picks inside 20 is still a decent return
