I think Edmunds mention of Logue being into us from a long way out means he doesn’t care who coaches. Tucker and Logue both aren’t coming for Clarko but rather opportunities & our only competition that has been named for Clark, Essendon, doesn’t have a coach, so that can’t be the distinguishing factor for him. Hoping we can still get these done, but understandable if none want to come anymore

If this is the end of Clarkson at North, then we should be relieved that the most important part of his five-year tenure is already over.

Whoever replaces him will be thankful that in our brief period of stability we were able to re-sign players like Zurhaar, Scott, and Goldstein, while potentially securing Logue, Clark, and Tucker.

Clarkson nullified the fact that we finished bottom the last 2 years. If I was a player I would look for a better option.

Clarkson or not, our ability to retain JHF will come down to our onfield success.

The best part of attaining Clarkson was the first trade period. He brought instant legitimacy that made us attractive to players, however that goodwill ends round one. As soon as we start seeing onfield results, it doesn’t matter how big of a name the coach is.

That was over 20 years ago.

Like it or not, North (especially in our current state) aren’t going to take a player in the PSD against their will when they have signalled their intentions to be elsewhere. I don’t know why some of you are pretending otherwise. It’s a great pipedream but not realistic.

They do have a lot a players who were good in the day Hannebery gone though , Crouch, Hill probably others plus King , Steele. Maybe they just overpaid for players.
