The more I think about it, the more I wonder why they'd only put 2 years. Is it because of his knee?
Or is there a bit of a "sign for 2 years then if you want to leave we'll help" about it?

I would think they'd want to sign him up for longer than 2.

If he wanted to sign for longer, they would facilitate it.

But probably understand that given their performances and location, he is less likely to commit long term so a 2 year deal is more reasonable and would hope they can turn it around enough to get to him sign a longer deal next time.

That makes no sense if it already signed, the Suns would have announced it. More likely the offer was tabled 3 weeks ago

He is signing nothing AFAIK. He is being offered much longer than 2 years by some Vic clubs. Would be poor business practice to accept a deal when others will be on the table.

O'Meara was a done deal to North, Carlisle was a done deal to Carlton, Kelly was a done deal with North, St.Kilda, Essendon and about 3 others.
