As an outside mid he would really suit our inside guys. Would be a win

But there is no way we take on his current contract.

He has 4 years left to run on his current contract worth approx 4 mil..?

Given his age a 4 year contract on 750k is about right, either he takes the cut or giants stump up 250k a year.

Bailey Humphrey is a riser up draft boards, has been compared to DeGoey. Big body, so should play next season.

He’s playing this weekend at Port Melb against the Sandy Dragons

Yes he did, but Wood has always had good raw talent, but was too up and down.

This year he found the discipline and application to knuckle down and play the modern winger role very well.

He was also only 26 when we got him. He had potential upside. He had the potential to become a best 22 player.

I see this as vastly different than picking up a much older player who only is only going to get worse, and who will never be a best 22 player for us.

You're assuming every player is picked for the same reason.
Tom Campbell played 1 average game in a dead rubber and is the same age. Where are the calls for his dismissal?

We have plenty of currency. But none of it is like to use on another 29 year old that looks past their best.

It would have to be a salary dump and for us to be able to afford that we probably need Hill gone.

I can't see GWS needing to do it though with Taranto and Hopper off the books.

We have all of our picks except this year’s fourth round pick. Plenty of currency to use. Whether it’s a good idea is another thing.

I’d prefer to keep our first three picks and take them to the draft. Another wingman isn’t a pressing need given we’ve got NWM, McKenzie and Wood playing well.

I really think we need to increase the amount of numbers we can run through the middle so we can maintain pressure and run with and without the ball. Our mid rotations seem limited.

not getting a game for north is a concern, I think we try to turn Hill into Tarryn. Adds to the midfield and can play outside or forward.

Mitchell on the cheap will also reduce the reliance on Steele on the inside. I am all for Steele spending a little more time forward. And Gresham for that matter.

Tanner Bruhn is another we should be pitching too.

To me the talk around NMW is still the major fly in the ointment.
We should be putting an extension in front of him and letting him know that if it's not signed in X number of days he'll be getting traded to Port EOS.

Someone said Bergman and P9 for Nas and a 2nd. Get it done.

Sign Tom Philips as depth. Yuck but yes.

Dispatch JB and Highmore for a points bundle and dangle our future 1st in front of Brisbane for a FB, FRDP and a f2nd.

Late to the party but FMD we do not need to be getting Tom Mitchell.
Even worse will be if we pay more for Mitchell than we get for Hill.

Doesn't matter how good the set up is if your list manager is hamstringing you like that.

Somewhat agree but forget Port. Trade him to an Adelaide team - the one that offers us the best deal.
I’m tired of players forcing trades to specific clubs. They aren’t free agents. If he wants to return to SA, any SA team should do.
