We'd have to be smoking serious crack to trade Hunter Clark for a future second.

For reference , Clark was taken 10 picks before Higgins in the same draft.

Higgins , off injury had been in and out of Richmond.
We traded a future second ( Judson Clarke ) as well as downgrading our 1st round pick. ( traded to Cats for their 2021 first,. who drafted Holmes )

But i fully expect our management to allow other teams to use us as a doormat ....AGAIN!!!.

Should be sacked regardless

this is a real test for him. to date he's been willing to let guys go out for less than what i'd consider market value when compared to similar trades. but he's been able to do that because he's had other guys coming in to distract away from that.

given there's not much coming in, there's going to be a huge **** off spot light shone on every trade he does with a player leaving. that's where our focus as fans will be.

so if he starts letting these guys go out for unders, there's going to be alot of angst.

this is a horrendous deal for us. great for north melbourne. if this deal is done, Gags should be sent packing.

Further, Lethlean should be sent packing for not already sending Gags packing.
The board should make like these guys,

Blokes been going on about Clark + Hill for some random useless pick for Atleast a week.

Then tried to tell me and BrutThough bird_man that Cal Twomey said Hill is a salary dump.

So we watched the clip and all Twomey said was along the lines of. If the saints wanted to trade Hill it would be with that in mind.

He literally is one of those annoying pricks who takes the slightest shred of info and runs and tells the word as if it’s fact.

Case in point with Edmund today.

He is running off saying it’s done. Clark at North etc. second round pick.

Now Clark might get to north. But Edmund finished his bit of dribble saying the second round priority pick may be used.

It was so open ended it contradicts the first part of his statement.

I.e he has no ******* idea.
Why would nprf want clark unlike us their u23 mids is stacked
LDU
Thomas
Phillips
Horne Francis
Wardlaw or if they are smart Sheezel

Where would Clark fit in?

And how are they going to get Griffin Logue and Tucker who have both already committed to Norf and get Clark?

What does

Wednesday October the 12th is the day this circus will end and I can’t wait
When we find out we got no one and lost some handy players.
More importantly what is the date when we find out which Delisted FA's we have train on permission for.

2012 to 2018 AFL Drafts.
AFL career for a player should be 10 -12 years if they are upto the standard required.
From the above Drafts and St.kildas top 3 selections from each of the above draft equals 21 players
Billings,Mackenzie,Gresham,Long,Battle,Coffield,King and Bytel all remain, with Long and Clark likely departures this trade period.
5 players out of 21.maybe in RWB in 2023
Wonder why we are the situation we are in

We have people who look at team demographics, they see that we don't have enough old people, wow, the Cats have Selwood, Hawkins and Dangerfield, so to get the demographic right we go and grab a few homeless guys.

Honestly the more I look at the likes of Windhager and Owens impact so quickly, as well as King, the more I’m coming around to Clark in a trade. His best is great, and he has some rare poise and skills, but it’s been pretty inconsistent and after about 5 years, if we’re not getting the best out of him maybe it’s best for everyone to part ways.

If another club can motivate or play him in a better role or give him better guidance, kudos to them and Clark. So long as we get a decent pick in return.
Clark rarely ever kicks long

Short dinky 20 - 25m kicks

Has some great moves and looks smooth in traffic but hardly ever takes ground to break a game open with a long accurate kick

Trade period is a magical time. Anyone can make any claim, as long as they include plenty of "I heard..." "Someone who knows him says..." "I expect..." "I think..." "it's likely..." "At this pint...." "Could be..." and it just snowballs, every year, and nobody learns from it.

Even better when these unconfirmed, unsubstantiated nothing-claims are used for some pre-emptive club bashing and 2023 membership microwaving.

Great idea , lets get every player who lacks perfection and just get rid of them for peanuts.

We can use all those 5th round draft picks we get to draft a new team of champions.

Work rate is learnable. I'm loathe to trade players with abilities that seem to be innate (can't be taught) and also are not already existent in other players on the list.

Clark for a future second is dereliction of duty on behalf of our list managers if it does go ahead.
You never know, Clark could be another Jarred Brennan. That bloke had the skills to be one of the games best, just didn't have the drive

It drives me bonkers. Did Freo deserve pick 2 for Weller? No they didn’t. Did they deserve pick 6 for Brad Hill? No they didn’t but they got Brayshaw and Serong for those picks and now their midfield is setup for a decade. Unfortunately I have no doubt that we’ll give up a former pick 7 for a pick in the 20’s and be grateful for it. And we wonder why we are where we are.

Average AFL career is 3 years

You could copy and paste the trade thread each year and just change the names.

😂

I know a few north Melbourne people who will tell you he is gettable for pick 1.

But we have learnt they are an interesting bunch lately.
And by”interesting” you mean “delusional”.
