That changes the narrative on here with Clark actively pursuing a move. I await with anticipation what the Clark loyalists have to say.
What if they were to say "What the **** would Cal Twomey know?"
Is the bloke ever held to account for what he says? Of course not. Can say anything, true or not, as long as it fills the empty minutes of AFL Trade Radio.

His games to date haven't indicated that he's a contested ball winner, and after watching the GF i'm more convinced than ever that its an important factor.

I have been saying it all year. The inside contested ball winners are back in vogue. We started to get rid of ours in Dunstan and Bytel just as they are having a revival.

Tom Mitchell even going to the Pies by the look of it. Good teams are loading up. Richmond, Geelong also chasing more.

Sanderson reckons we've got the 5th oldest list profile, so he's concerned about our list.
I'm concerned for other reasons, but I wonder if he's still talking about our list profile with Geary, Ryder, Hanners in it - and including Campbell who's really just a backup.

Has anyone got the time to check our average age taking delistings, retirements and Campbell into account? It couldn't be that old, surely.
Geelong just won a flag with the oldest team in AFL history. Are they too old?

De Goey improves our list, so yes

I'd be more considering a decent ruckman to back up Marshall. It's pretty much the most important position on the ground, every team in the last 10 years who have gone on to win the premiership has had an A-grade ruck.

It's no secret we were at our best last year was when Ryder was playing and in good condition. His incorrect suspension and his injury stalled our season.

If Marshall goes down and we have no backup, or if he is forced to play underdone... then we may as well write the season off.

I'd have a very hard and long look at Brodie Grundy.

Can in this day and age you afford to have four pure ruckmen on your list?

Only problem is that Marshall is ten times as effective when he is the only ruck. Getting Grundy would mean one of them spends a great deal of time somewhere other than ruck. Or Grundy plays for Sandy and I don’t think that will happen.

Brodie Grundy is superstar quality, has superb leadership qualities and becoming increasing disgruntled at Collingwood.

He's been injury free, except for this year.

I could only dream of Marshall and Grundy controlling the ground together.

If we could get two top 10 picks then that would be incredible.

Then just have to hope that we emulate Fremantle (2017: Brayshaw and Cerra - 2019: Serong and Young) and avoid doing a Collingwood (Scharenber and Freeman).

There’s also been reports that the players lost trust in him after how many chances he got and being instructed to gift him easy balls to “get him going”

Everything has to be on his terms for it to work out. Ratts bent over backwards to accomodate him and it’s put him in an awkward position with the other players
It is very poor coaching.

What is Brad Crouch?

When did we get rid of Bytel?

Grundy is contracted for another 5 years left at $1m per year.

Campbell didn't even get a chance last year when Ryder was injured. He's one more year older now... I don't think there will be any difference.

Max Heath is at least 2 more years away.

Then there's the other guy.

I reckon we only have one AFL ready ruckman.

If you think Grundy is just a pure ruckman, then you haven't seen him play.
