That de listed Swan is finished , looked to have a bright future but after 7 yrs flamed out. They aren't the same players for the same spot, they are both delisted. Both come free. I was suggesting that he looks more of a use to us.
BothWould rather Lewis Taylor for free. At least he has proven form.

Wilkie is our Stewart.Honestly think that role is still best suited for Highmore.
For whatever reason he didn’t have the year he’d have liked but he reads the ball very well and his kicking is good. His issue so far has seemed to be confidence and decision making.
He can be an intercept machine if it clicks for him.
Still only 24 (same age as Stewart was when he was drafted).
Stewart has top end pace. That’s his biggest asset. Wilkie’s IQ would be equal or better.Wilkie is our Stewart.
Taller by 1cm.
Younger.
Better kick.
Great read of the ball.
Just needs some freedom to run amok!
Currently plays like Rampe which is still great.
Agree with that and we can balance attributes either way, but Wilkie has all the tools to be an AA Champion and took a big step this year.Stewart has top end pace. That’s his biggest asset. Wilkie’s IQ would be equal or better.
Stewart just a fair hit better unfortunatelyWilkie is our Stewart.

Hmmm.....perhaps Melbourne Storm revisited. It’s quite sad that we making up numbers on the lower rungs of the ladder whilst Geelong keep getting players of real quality through the trade period. It’s little wonder it’s seen as a destination club but it's amazing that they can fit them all in the cap.

I'd rather draft a kid.
Remember there is going to be a few players looking for clubs , we have Long , Joyce , Geary , Ryder , Kent are holes to fill and 3 will be draft picks and of course the rookie draft.
They most probably have a Sharman or Jack Hayes special lined up.
Stewart better at intercepting and being an offensive asset but Wilkie matches or betters him on 1on1 defending. I don't think we gain much taking wilkie away from his stopper role and making him into an interceptor. we have plenty of those and Wilkie got an AA nom for his current roleStewart just a fair hit better unfortunately
Love Wilkie though
Gold Coast don’t want the picks. Plus geelongs first rounder will go to the piesBowes will nominate Geelong![]()
Geelong may send back this years first or next years.
Yep. The better clubs continue to be getting better and the poorer team getting reamed. What hope do we haveIs the whole players nominating clubs thing becoming a bit of a joke? Geelong actually want Bowes but also get an upgrade to pick 7. Just makes no sense to me.
Imagine if deals like this become commonplace? It's one thing to constantly be attracting the best talent but to also get the leg up in the draft as well is nothing short of a joke. They'll probably be picking two spots ahead of us. Just unbelievable.Yep. The better clubs continue to be getting better and the poorer team getting reamed. What hope do we have
AFL.com reporting the Lions are shopping pick 15 around. That pick 15 will have to go to the Dogs for Dunkley.
Our ben long pick plus our second rounder and maybe a shuffle of later picksAFL.com reporting the Lions are shopping pick 15 around.

How are they going to get Dunkley done if they trade 15?AFL.com reporting the Lions are shopping pick 15 around.

Probably needs the McStay compo pick to be end of 1st roundHow are they going to get Dunkley done if they trade 15?
Dogs will want more than a future first, especially given you'd expect Brisbane to be better next year with their inclusions.
It's a ridiculous contract Collingwood have given if he triggers pick 19 compo.Probably needs the McStay compo pick to be end of 1st round
