What time do they usually start training? I've got a few weeks off work after some shoulder surgery, would love to get down and watch the guys.

Training report - Main session Qualifying final v Geelong - September 1st, 2022.

Full squad this morning. Nick. Howe and Adams fully trained.

They did some drills. Match sim. But after that, was pretty light with some goal kicking and marking/ individual things.

Hung out with some friends on the AAMI park side of the ground, and noticed Anthony Rocca was on the steps as well, watching the boys train. He was joined by Selwood and another trainer post training. Rocca then had a chat to Cox for a while. Looking for a job?

Harrison continued his rehab from his hammy
He was joined by Reef and Wilson later on, who both are working through their own rehabs.

Carmichael didn't do a lot, and left training early, limped to his car which I saw. Didnt return, while the others ate lunch inside the cafe so I assume something happened and he was probably going to get scans.

It was a solid session. Good vibe going into Saturday's game

After failing to train last week, Carmy trained very well. Did some mid stuff in the drills. Didn't seem to have any lingering effects from his foot issue. Was in white though. Whether or not they pull the pin with him this week, or not. Or go with someone else remains to be seen.

There wasn't any full on match sim this morning, I assume that will happen on Thursday. There was specific drills involving match play that inside 50's and from D50 to the forward line.

They started off with some warm up drills. Sprinting. Then they split off into different groups around the oval, where each group did something different.
There was some mid to forward inside 50 stuff with mids + forwards.
There was some ruck work being done in the middle involving Cox, Cameron, Begg, Kreuger and Johnson.

Another group was doing some work with the forwards.

They rotated every few minutes.

Next up they did a precision kicking to a teammate across different sections of the ground. Whether that was along the way, or a teammate calling for it through the middle. Seemed to be different reasons for this.
  • The indications how they want to play on game day
  • Sharpening up their skills to kick precisely to a target.

After some match play, they did some light things. Goal kicking for the forwards. Some contest work. As they began to go inside.

Oh crap.

Sorry -- Yes, he trained fully. Didn't seem to be any issues with his foot.
