How do we see Western progressing this year?
Hmmmm, he honestly may have less opportunities this season if guys like Sonny, Switta play well. NoD Valente Sturt should get looks. He may have to wait for an injury or two....

I don’t think he is that tall, but looks taller than 189cm.

FreoFC website doesn’t help, as it still has last seasons players on the list.. ie Cerra, Etc.. bit amateurish of the Club not to update the players Lists and Bio’s to include the new, and out with the old.
I spoke to club about this. They said they have no control over that. The AFL uploads all the data. Other clubs lists are the same.
Pretty Average by the AFL

It's December. Big call.
I don't think stepping past Darcy Tucker based on last year's form is a big call. A witches hat could be looking at stepping past him.

Honestly...with his disposal, slow and often head scratching decision making, I find it hard to see Darcy anywhere but a run-with/tagger mid, an inside mid or a forward flanker/pocket. Anywhere else he just hurts you too much. Playing him off half back was one of JL's worst moves by far, i thought. Kinda obvious what would happen. Turnovers galore, and not good enough defensively in marking contests, nor the lateral tackling ability or speed to keep up with the quicker forwards.

Darcy Tucker at his best is best 22, but if he doesn't find his best form again soon he'll get overtaken. I agree that playing him half back was a mistake, probably would have been better playing as a mid-sized forward with Sturt out. Or I wouldn't mind seeing him given time on a wing with Cerra gone, which is where I could see him getting settled.

How good was this goal from 2019? Great finish after running almost the whole length of the ground

That Tucker is still a work in progress is a disappointment, and it should put him under a bit of pressure Now.

hbf is a domain that should be stocked from the significant list of very decent options headllined by Clark (hopefully he is a wing option), Wilson, Walker, Chapman, Young, Aish and Hughes.

Wing is a less tangible in terms of our options and it is worth noting that all of the above list of hbf options could be in contention for wing. Henry and Frederick are realistic options in another year or two, but I think Johnson can begin his development there too.

Tucker needs to demand a spot.

Let's hope he does. In previous years where was fully fit, he was building nicely. Needs to put last year's hamstrung season behind him, gain full fitness during this pre-season and demand a wing position.

Agree, people a quick to forget. Tucker and Walters both badly impacted last year due to serious hamstrings. Hopefully they can both get back to their best this year.

There will be other injury setbacks so the more depth we have playing their best footy will be the key to our success this year.

Not forgotten at all, it is more that he is no longer in a position to be 'building nicely' as ozzie69 has put it. Frederick, Western, O'Driscoll and Henry can build nicely. Tucker plays in a position that the coach and list management have clearly been actively upgrading and he needs to lock himself in before the tide rises.

Johnson, Brodie, Valente, Erasmus and others have been brought in as a succession plan as Mundy and Fyfe begin to decline. On the wing Tucker isn't replacing anyone. The role has been vacant for several seasons, and we actually have some emerging players with potential to step in.

Lobb seems to be fine and in all main training drills

A motivated and fit Lobb is what Fremantle need. He has games (Sydney, Hawks,Collingwood) where he dominates, if he can increase that to even 8 games a year that would go a long way to us winning more often.

Exactly - if he can do that and be just a bit better than average in the other games he will be very valuable.
