And still my Westies muddling in mediocrity .....never changes ....but it does build resilience as a supporter, we're happy winning a quarter

You have to look for success's where you can

April fool's showdown.

We should have a pretty strong team. Crouch, Sloane, Hately, Himmelberg, Murphy, McHenry, Madgen, maybe Shane Edwards. That's a strong core, should be expecting finals especially with our depth of young players that will be eligible
And Blayne O’Loughlin… uncle Mick played in five SA state games.

Played SANFL reserves all year so it will be interesting to see how he goes. Would need to improve the defensive side of his game and be more accountable for his opponent at the next level on what I've seen. Obviously he'll play back pocket/HBF I'd expect. Foot skills are excellent and has quite good pace and agility.

I think I'd have gone with our other NGA if he was available Isaiah Dudley who is capable of quite freakish moves and loves a goal.

2023 Fixture is out

4 Adelaide Oval games (South, Eagles, 2 x Port). Looks like the Adelaide Oval games will be curtain raisers instead of curtain closers which will be much better (better having 10,000 or so at the game for the last quarter than the cleaners and a few die hards).

Country games are Barossa Valley v Centrals and the earlier mentioned Murray Bridge game v West.

That's half the non-AFL sides that have offloaded their 2nd 'home' match against us (2 to AO, 2 to the country).

I’m looking forward to the Premiers hosting the Loser ***** at the home of football on Anzac Day.

Any room in the SANFL side for Oleg Markov? The former Gepps Cross, North Adelaide, Tiger and Sun player has been training with Collingwood. Looks like he won’t be picked up by the Pies because they got nervous about Cameron’s hammy and went with West Adelaide’s taller ruckman, Steene. He played for SA under 18s and I think kicked goals (or was that at the Roosters?). A 6ft 2in running halfback. Not sure if he was a high or long jumper but his father Dimitri was an Olympic pole vaulter (and SA Athlete Of The Year). Markov is 26 turning 27 in May.

Markov is now training with CARL ....since the ACL to Zilliams

Wayne, it looks like Carlton have taken ruckman Hudson O’Keefe to fill Zac William’s spot (seems strange). Where does this leave Oleg Markov and what’s his next move?
COLL poached Markov from under CARL's eyes ....was still training with Carlton until he signed with Collingwood

Don't know the details of why, but you'd think he was offered a better (longer term) Contract .....CARL "may" have only offered a rookie spot, or may not have even put anything on the table yet

So he’d been training with COLL, missed out on the last spot to Steene, went to CARL chasing Zilliam’s spot but ended up back at COLL because of Dean being placed on the inactive list. After RICH and GC.. he’s getting to see the inside of a few clubs.

Yep ...that's basically the scenario
