His son plays with the son of a colleague, under 7s, Roo is coach, but none of the kids really know who he is. They call him Mark Prosciutto.

On SM-F926B using BigFooty.com mobile app
They don’t know Roo but do know prosciutto 😆

The fact Sydney was keen to use such a high pick to bid on MM says everything to me, he will be a jet.

Lets hope Jack is just as good - do we also get access to him as a F/S?
Unless there's a big storm incoming in the Michalanney family you'd think...

No he wasn’t and be unlikely Jack selected on the back of 3 games. Those underage boys were very strong in the U16 comp. Jack showed some glimpses last year only.

Am no expert here, but it seems the U18 squad is predominantly comprised of kids born in 2005 and eligible for the 2023 draft. The 13 underage kids selected are all from 2006 (like Welsh) and will be eligible for the 2024 draft.

Jack is three years younger than Max so I assume he is born in 2007. So whilst he is playing U16's is a year behind the underages selected for the squad and would be a player eligible for the 2025 draft? So realistically we should be expecting him to be selected as an underager in next years U18 squad?

I see ESPN have a new draft guru replacing Doerre...Jasper Chellappah.

This looks like a pretty decent effort first up.
Maybe Mitch Edwards a tad low but not too much to disagree with.
Hi Mutineer, with this lad around the mark of our second round (Kangas pick) do you have any thoughts on him?

19. Kane McAuliffe
North Adelaide/South Australia
MID, 187cm, 90kg SANFL U18s: 2 games, 31 disposals, 7 clearances

An inside midfielder with an appetite for the contest, McAuliffe has strong hips to break tackles and great timing with his hands to release runners. He makes quick decisions and has also shown ability forward of centre to add another string to his bow.

Getting Horks Day for our first (top 10 pick) and McAuliffe would seemingly fix our short midfield issue. A FA or 2 and would be a very nice off season but anyone thinking we are getting Moir at this stage is dreaming (esp when we already have 2-3 guns playing in the same position)

I read somewhere there’s 4 Michalanney boys?
One older and Jack?
Where’s the 4th in the queue?
I think its only 3..

Max is the middle one..

Jack the younger

The elder one someone said was looking like a very good footballer.. but chose cycling instead..

Ah right must have read the 3 brothers part as him having 3 brothers.
Shames there’s not a brother rule in drafting.
