That would be a great outcome but you’d think Geelong would have taken that deal already. So the only alternative is we have to sweeten the deal and that hopefully doesn’t mean 10 & 20.
I’d add an F2, maybe get an F3 back and trade that pick into this year to grab a slider
Worth it IMO to get what I believe is two top 7 prospects

Where does Petty play if O’Sullivan is dream CHB?
Unless we see Worrell as more of a hybrid Stewart type who plays half back and we go with a Michalanney, Murray, Petty, O’Sullivan, Hinge, Milera, Worrell back 7.
top 10 of draft not about needs , just talent

O'sullivan likely back but could also easily be a key forward for next decade
Thilthope jury out on whether he's a ruck or forward or perhaps both
in the end it's the top 10 of the draft its about talent for 12 years not next year or the year after
Reid in SC podcast said TT viewed as a KPF and the development they’ve put into him will be worth it in a couple of years. No plans to make him a ruck.
Murray, TT, Fogarty, Welsh, Petty, OSullivan all have 6 plus years left. It’s a relevant query.
Zero chance we trade 10 and 14 for 8. That would be madness. Even with a late pick back.

O'Sullivan is a gun, if you can get him you take him IMO
he's well ahead of next bracket Wilson, Leake, Windsor, Tholstrup etc
Curtin, Wilson, Read, O’Sullivan, Sanders the third tier behind Reid/Walter/McKercher IMO

He went into detail that the club sees him as a forward first.
Watson’s a weird one, he’s talented to buggery but need to be confident he can at least get to 40 to 50% mid time for me to put him next tier, which I’m not quite. Not quite shown enough in the middle third to me, on review
Read I like a ton, but I don’t think I can ever be 100% a draftee ruck ends up generational
Wilson’s my Butters/Amiss this year, I’ve been high on his natural talent for a while as you know
Sanders the closest to my 3rd tier but he’s a pretty safe bet to be a high level clearance player, and has potential to develop some hurt factor IMO

Weirdly, he sat next to me in a plane from Melbourne to Brisbane a week ago.
Maybe the trade hinges on who is still available at that pick. As in we are targeting someone in particular and have a verbal agreement with the cats to make a trade if our target is still there? If they are gone we just keep what we have.

If they don't see TT as a ruck, we need to draft another one this year then.
Reid basically affirmed ROB will be number 1 ruck until he retires and we will look for a junior ruck in the next couple of years (sounded like not this year).
And that the club has found it is difficult to have more than 2 or 3 rucks on a list at any point in time because they don’t get the time to develop it there’s only 2 full time positions.
I just don't get this strategy. Just about every other club is able to manage 3 or more rucks on their list. We can just rotate Strachan and the developing ruck through the main ruck position and up forward in the SANFL. Who cares if they are not playing 100% of the game time.
Ideally we should have 3 on our list, 1 main ruck, 1 back up and 1 development ruck. Strachan is only ever a backup, we need the developing ruck now so he is starting to put pressure on ROBs spot in 2-3 years time.

It’s just arrogance that we think we can buck what the rest of the league do. If we keep 20 and don’t grab a ruck then I hope you and others will be as critical after the draft.
I’d hope we wouldn’t be close minded if we rated one of the rucks especially highly , Goad as a local in particular
