Jury’s out for me if rachele’s disposal is that good. Burnt a lot of ball the last few weeks. And don’t give me DE stats
It was a bit of a stretch to compare Rachele to Martin at this stage. He has been great so far this year though and has some similar traits. I stand by the other two comparisons though. Fwiw I’d take Dusty over GAJ and Danger. Three champions of the game and in Daicos, Horne-Francis and Rachele, three really exciting talents who could be anything.

I suspect Rachele is carrying a finger injury. Starting in the Freo game he has uncharacteristically bobbled or dropped some really straightforward ball takes.

He seems to often be kicking the ball with the outside half of his foot rather than flush - symptoms are loopier trajectory and misdirection to the right. It is consistent with not being able to grip properly with your fingers and compensating with palm - which affects ball drop towards the outside of the foot.
Oh yeh I forgot.
He broke a finger in the Port game. Can confirm this is true.

Daicos doesn't come close to ablett jnr.
and I'd prefer dusty over danger.
At the same age Daicos is light years ahead of GAJ

Took GAJ 4 years to average 20 disposals a game

However Daicos is closer to the peak of his potential than JHF and Rachele who are nowhere near the finished products and that’s the interesting thing ….. how much better can they both get , I’d say quite a bit

Yeah..

Cause that 50m non preferred left foot kick right up against the wing boundary rachele did that perfectly stayed in the field of play and landed in Fogs hands in the dying minutes against the hawks was really sh*t…

He’s a young kid ffs.. he’s not gonna perfectly stick every kick just yet… and he’s already a much better kick than a few of our vets like laird, sloane, keays, smith, crouch..

Completely left field and I have been absent recently but I thought during the Hawks game that Rachelle had some poor selfish moments. More than once he seemed to be somewhat self indulgent and ignored teammates -hope this is curbed.

#can anyone help the kids bought me a new ipad as I am travelling soon - Bigfooty on it is horrendous any tips? I have had to resort to the old lap top to post this.

Is it the app? but it makes reading posts etc horrid.

cheers

JHF is going to be very good. He will probably win half a dozen showdown medals before his career ends.
Is Daicos better? Probably, yes.
Will Rachele be better? Still TBC.

I think JHF will be better than Rach from what we have seen so far but both will be genuine stars. To me JHF has a stronger contested side than Rach and still has the finesse on the outside. Daicos is starting to look like GAJ mark 2 - a different level to all these other blokes. SEN had a stat last night regarding players that have had 40 plus possessions and 2 goals in a game. 13 players all time, 4 have done it 3 or more times (from memory Bont Swan and possibly Harvey had 3/4 - GAJ had 13!)
Daicos has done it twice in 31 games

Almost time to turn our attention to the draft.. looking like another top 5 draft pick this year. I wonder who we will burn this pick on. Anyway pretty obvious we MUST take the best/hyped up/top prospect midfielder available with our first pick.. that is hopefully between 188cm-192cm. i will spew up if we pick another 180-184cm bloke up.

This aged well

Question - with a Tas team coming in, I would assume draft concessions to them (hopefully not as much as GWS). Are we at risk of losing players like Jones? Will a compromised draft affect the rebuild? Or have we done enough in time?

Thoughts?

Well considering the earliest it would be is 2028 I'm not sure if it would greatly effect us, as we are on our way up and would still have 4 more drafts to build a team. In that time we would probably have lost some retired players... Walker's absence will be huge! The leadership on field as well as his talent

Can anyone tell me if Ashton Moir is playing for Glenelg ressies tomorrow?
Was going to take my nephew down to check the game out .
Affirmative Norwood Oval 1.45PM

Keep an eye on Jake Walker too reckon he was stiff to miss out last year.

Reserves
Beecken, Chandler, Coulthard, Kluske, McCarthy, Miller, Moore, Scott, Stockman, Window, Kitschke, Brokensha, Cole, Carter, Leck, McLeod, Moir, Walker, Deep, Reid, Yates

Other than Dangerfield's iffy kicking JHF has a way to go just yet to be in the same discussion.
Its more his traits tjat lead to the dangerfield comparisons. Burst out of a stoppage, power in the tackle and to break a tackle a penetrating but wayward kick and an ability to mark well above his head and bully opponents physically.

I watch him play and i very much see a young dangerfield the way he goes about it
