Thinking about it further, I think Weagkes WILL swap F1 but they will get better offers than us. Either Dees at 6 or GWS at 7 are quite likely to have Curtin available AND likely to accept giving that pick up for a F1 pick swap

we don’t get a look in at 10 and F1 swaps IMHO. We aren’t giving up enough and unlikely to be a fully elite player at this pick - almost certainly not Curtin who Weagles reportedly want

I agree that F1 swap and 10 wouldn’t get it done but I absolutely believe you have the capital to get it done and get our F1. If we move it on I would actually hope it’s with the Crows and not the clubs you mentioned.

I think Dees are huge on Windsor given they are in the window. Curtin is a longer term proposition. Hawks is the one I’m not sure about. I would have assumed they take Sanders or Watson.

If Wilson is gone at our pick and Leake and Windsor are there, I can't imagine our club taking Windsor - it will be Leake all the way I'd imagine

Apart from Goad's height and speed, why are people so high on him? Goad's highlights are nothing special.

Probably most of it is upside with an awesome athletic profile.

He has only just started concentrating on football, so his footballing is in rapid development/ improvement. From the eye test, his marking, positioning and kicking are already pretty good for a ruck and his ruck craft should improve more than anything (currently may rely on height advantage that won't be as pronounced at next level). As a basketballer, his in-close work should be pretty good and his follow up work already looks very good. Will take some time to develop in the SANFL, but suits us anyway.

If it works, he could be awesome. If he doesn't, we have time to find a ruck that does and haven't given up much in draft capital.

Hey Crows fans, sorry to intrude but I’ve heard a rumour going around that might have legitimate legs to it.
So the deal could like Adelaide trading up to Essendon’s pick 9, will be 11 on draft night. Adelaide apparently would give up 14, 20 and maybe a future pick, likely your pick tied to Melbourne second rounder. For 9 and 31/35.

I only see a trade happening if the top 10 consensus players are off the board. So if a COS/Caddy are off the board for Essendon at 11, we’d be interested in trading back for Riley Hardeman who’s a half back flanker/midfielder. The rumour also states you’re into Caleb Windsor and would also take James Leake with your pick 12.

I don’t know how you guys would feel about this or if you have someone in the know on your board. It’s also not a big footy rumour, it’s something that’s been suggested from an Essendon content creator called “everything Essendon”. It claims Adelaide are very interested in trading up to either Essendon or Geeongs picks.

I also thought Leake makes sense for you guys as you wanted Redman from Essendon. Also you lost Tom Dodoee too, unless of course you have players internally that can replace them. That's just my personal opinion, and COS plus Wilson have been heavily linked to us. Windsor not so much.

Leake only recently entering possibilities in media.
Like I said, I hope Leake gets snapped up earlier leaving us with COS plus choice of Wilson, Windsor etc

From the small highlights package of Charlie Edwards, I thought he did really well as an inside mid.
Nice size and great burst speed and seemed to have good kicking skills

The question you are asking based on the picks in my head is:

O'Sullivan and De Mattia
Vs
Wilson, De Mattia and Goad

Given how good O'Sullivan is and the limited tall talent on the list I'd go the first option. De Mattia is no steak knives either. In an ideal world 14 & 20 would be the trade and getting Wilson and O'Sullivan but that's less likely.

Murray doing his knee has really screwed us, ideally we should only be looking at running players. Half back, half forward and midfielders. Hamish must really rate a player very highly if they are desperate to move up the draft, I just hope 10 isn’t involved. I think It would be stupid to lose picks10 and 20 for pick 8.
