No , go and look at stats re contested ball

I’ve watched him play live a couple of times too , he doesn’t win alot of his own ball which is fine as he has other traits but does limit him a bit unless he can develop it
If what you were saying were true ....Windsor would not be rocketing up Draft Boards ....clearly recruiters are seeing another side to his AFL GAME, you're not

Forget about the role his junior coaches have asked him to play .....AFL Coaches have a different role in mind

That's not true. Plenty of recruiters think it's a red flag when young players don't get much contested ball. Many have Windsor further back, probably because of this.
We'll see ....Windsor has one of the best games, ball in hand ....huge hurt factor

You're reading the wrong reviews then .....most now have Windsor in the Top 10 .....not bad for an outside winger hey

National champs

16 possessions a game , at barely 30% contested possession rate

In comparison that makes someone like Ollie Hollands at Carlton look like an inside beast in his draft year

Not saying he’s no good but just that he’s a likely half back / wing type at afl level and some clubs are looking for that

I’ve only got him rated a few spots behind you it’s not a huge difference , I rate him just think the others will go higher

One thing I will say is his improvement curve was very good and was playing much better footy at end of season compared to the start

Windsor’s got a lot of poise and quality skills. If he had more of an inside game he’d be going top 7 or 8 pretty easily. It’s not because he’s afraid of the contest either, his tackle numbers are great for an outside player

There’s a place for a quality specialist wingman in the AFL now, though. I think he has a chance to get to that Jaicos/Nic Martin level, hence why I have him early teens

What do you mean by draft boards?

Haven’t you in the past said not to take much note of draft predictions as they all seem to parrot each other?

I can seen him playing NWM roles at AFL level

Not quite the same agility but plenty of speed and lovely kick

There's more of a chance Windsor plays Midfield, than Wilson

Forget junior stats with some of these players ....junior Coaches try and fit all the players into a side, so some players end up playing roles, they won't at AFL Level ....and they're required to play those roles

Dangerfield playing HBF for example .....I'm sure there were many watching his junior games at the Championships, believing him to be a back flanker

You talk about improvement ....we're forecasting where these players will be in 3-4 years time, not U16's or U18's

Where'd you have Leake at the beginning of the year .....probably not in the top 20-30

Yes, I have said that ....but these last few days, there'll be a consensus (group think) on where players are going

The hype on Windsor ....the photo ops ...are increasing

It's OK ....I also took heat for saying Mac Andrew would be some player ....now where did he go again ;)

That all said ....I think all the players (6-8) aligned with our picks will be fine players

We're talking POV's .....I'm just championing Windsor, because I believe some have unfairly judged him

Just want to flag this as a possibility.

Ashton Moir's family is very good friends with a guy who has done a lot of recruiting in SA for Brisbane. The guy knows what he is doing.
Brisbane have pick 30. Don't be surprised that if Moir is still available that Brisbane pounce (I wouldn't be surprised if they trade up a bit to get him). I also wouldn't be surprised if 12 months later he looks just like the top 10 pick everyone thought he was going to be...
Twomey said today that Brisbane are planning on trading up for pick 23 (from GC). Keep an eye out. Will be interesting to see if this is what they do.

What time does the draft actually start? Telecast is 6.30pm Adelaide time but does it actually start later?
Probably starts at 7pm.

There will be a 30 min preamble where you will contemplating ending your life rather than having to listen to commentators pad out the time for this "event".

Ask Twomey he is privvy to that stuff through his role with the AFL.

Would be interesting to see a list of all the draftees management teams.

Looking at Colin Young's current stable there are no Crows players....but there's a couple of notable ex Crows..;)
You'd think clubs would know. Be interesting if the list gets altered based on player management.

Colin Young loves extracting players from the Crows and Freo.

Leake wasn’t in top 30

Dangerfield was a contested ball beast , no matter where he played so not the best comparison

I’m not sure wilson plays midfield other than wing either … he may

It’s not that I don’t rate Windsor , I rate him highly but am also honest of where his strengths and weaknesses at this point

Prob only rate him 5-6 picks lower than you so not a huge diff
