Sanders has a very similar gait and appearance to JHF, from hair to socks up and general frame and movement. He doesn't have the sheer manic power and bull strength that JHF has and not as good overhead but he spreads better on the outside and has a much more settled mind/team approach (less FIGJAM)

Moir is so talented yet so lazy, he will look a million dollars in a good side and when the supply is good, but when the chips are down, he won't be seen all that much. He's clearly a top 5 player on talent but if you aren't putting in that won't get you past SANFL reserves.

Watching Sanders' highlights from yesterday now, that's definitely the best game I've seen him play this year

His footy IQ is excellent, knows when to make the quick handball to a running player and how to extract the ball from a contest. Has a good athletic base too, looks agile. The only query that I'd have is that I'd want him to be more aggressive by foot more often

He's risen in my rankings, not quite up to the territory of where our first would be yet but getting there

Don't the Roos have NGA claims on him?

This is his grandfather Tassie Hall of famer..

That's pick 40 onwards, isn't it?

Yep but that's a pretty decent pick to use in area we are well stocked in with young talent currently. No problems with drafting him but a 2nd rounder depending on where gold coast finish might be a bit heavy? I'd prefer we used it on a decent ruck prospect around that draft collateral
If McAdam ends up leaving then I wouldn't mind grabbing another quality small forward prospect with an eye for the goals, especially if we think Pedlar/Rachele will eventually move to mostly midfield time

Developing ruck like Goad would be higher on the preference list, as would a rebounding half-back (if Redman stays with the Bombers), but if there's not one of those around that pick that wouldn't be considered a reach, I'd be very happy to look at Callinan (or Delean if he falls that far, which I doubt he does)

I honestly believe a developing young ruck is just about our most important need, especially given the better ones this draft all look to be very decent athletically.

Anyway you slice or dice it if Strachan is the answer then the wrong question is being asked.
Would you take Edwards with our first rounder if he was available? In the case of a bonafide great midfield prospect not being there at our pick, I'd probably go with him

Otherwise you'd take Goad with the NM 2nd, or hope he falls to the GC 2nd

Starting to look like Moir might drop a long way down the lists. Could be a second round pick.

For me it is:
1st pick: Best mid we can find.
2nd pick: Best mid we can find
3rd Pick: Goad
4th pick: Any other position.

We need elite mids and a developing ruck before any other position.
I hope we are attempting to throw a big contract towards an elite mid requiring us to give away our first pick this year and next.

Did that young midfielder I saw play for Glenelg get a game?

For the NGA, Callinan can say no to North that he doesn't want to be nominated by them and just go into the open draft?

A bit like we as a club said no to Keeler and then he went past 40 and Stkilda took him??

Does it work both ways?

I didn't watch the game - but did Jack Callinan get injured?
