Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

There’s a better highlight where he puts two players on there arse at a bounce, wins the ball, hand passes, gets it straight back then runs about 40m with two bounces surrounded by traffic, draws a player hand passes again into the F50 and they score a goal. Was ridiculous.

If you go into points debt, how does it change your picks the following year? Does the point reduction start from your highest pick? If you trade back into the draft you were set to lose points, can it restore some or all of the value of your picks effected?

As I understand it the deficit is fixed at the end of the draft and it is applied to your first pick in next years draft, so you slide back to the pick that your adjusted total is worth. Dockers a while ago did this for Liam Henry and the points deficit moved them I think 3 spots from 7 to 10 in the following draft. I don’t believe you can alter this once set but like everything at the afl hard to get exact rules.

If we don't end up with Reid he is a real threat to go to us. Just x-factor embodied. Would love to hear from someone who actually watched the game, but those

Elvis Presley once sang a song called "If I Can Dream." Well, if there's one thing we can all do tonight, it's to dream about this man...

Media and all it's campaigners (led by Barrett and Wilson) already ramping up the Hawthorn are tanking for Harley Reid crap and we only just finished round 2. Will get progressively louder and worse as the year goes on. I don't recall them ever being this vocal when Carlton, Melbourne etc were doing it over multiple season

Funilly enough, Cornes defended our decision to push out JOM and TOM and rebuilding through the draft when Wilson when on about tanking

Just read the article today, didn’t know we removed Gunston! 🤔 the guy is an idiot. But it does add a bit to the game and for once I agree with him, 😱 should have been at the G. Would have been like a ‘70’s game with the Roos colours v ours. I could have worn my old jumper and a mullet wig!

Depends on where the bid is I think. In the first round it will apply to your first pick. If after that it goes from your 2nd round pick instead.

I also think you only lose the deficit from your picks and not the ones traded in. But I’m less sure on this. Trading out picks does maintain their spot for whoever receives them.

Is this the thread to discuss MSD options?

It's probably too early to discuss players, but what position(s) would we be looking at?

Would have to be a KPF, right?

By the time the MSD comes around Lewis and Jeka will be back playing. It would have to be a pretty dominant or an 18/19 year old shooting up like Ramsden.

Probably just best available if there's someone worth a list spot.
