i just watched some Logan Morris highlights and can't believe he's not in the top 20 in many projections.

Perhaps his body of work during the season hasn't justified a higher ranking, but wow he looks incredibly good as a forward.
Excellent qualities.

I haven't seen a KPP with such good strong hands since... J Roughead?
Morris has this excellent ability to protect the fall of the ball in a marking contest, and knows exactly how to hold off his man in 1 on 1.
My favourite thing he does is leap in the air with his arms outstretched to mark the ball firm, first grab, at the peak of his leap.
Superb timing.

He reminds me of a Tom Lynch/Jeremy Cameron combo and looks a natural forward.
I really hope he is available in the second round or so and we take him.
Amazing potential for development.

Looks the goods, he spent a couple of months training at Werribee VFL learning his craft and apparently was told to leave for some reason is what I heard from my contacts in Geelong. Should’ve played more VFL games I believe after his carnival games, certainly up to it. I think he’ll go first round.

LOL this is surely a psyop so Geelong can take him later in the draft!

He had one really good game but then not much else. I would personally take archer Reid over him if we could trade in after matching the McCabe bid.

because you think he's more talented, or Reid's superior consistency?

I think consistent form is more important for top-end picks.
Anything after pick 20 is going to be hit/miss anyhow, so I want to go with the guy with the elite qualities that we could harness with a commitment to a professional development program.

Morris demonstrated more impressive qualities in that one game than Reid's entire highlights (that I have seen so far).

The question I ask is this: Would I want to see more of Morris' best qualities, or Reid's?
Morris looked exceptional in that video.

From what I have seen since the champs I have come around to Logan since I posted this. I see ramsden as the second ruck long term so the dual position of Archer less appealing. Morris has also played at both ends. Get him in. And not giving up a pick for Liam Henry just might be what enables it.

I mean, that's a bloody good performance for a guy who didn't play the whole season as a forward - he looks a natural.

2 things, he has great hands and he’s consistently is getting 4-5 shots at goal per game and has a good conversion rate with a kicking technique that looks sound. Arguably that’s 3 things. But the fundamentals are in place plus shows elite marking and can play both ends. I am now very keen to trade back in after McCabe bid match.

I’m no expert I may not have even seen as much as you have just the champs game and I watched one Coates league game that’s it. He does look like he reads the flight of the ball well and his position and pushing off early seemed good. Felt like a lot to work with.

Lol like your thinking although on a serious note whatever occurred will come out in the wash, I’m sure the interested clubs will do their due diligence and speak with Werribee. Absolutely I’d have him at Geelong!

The more I see this years draft the more I beleive that the club should be looking at getting Sun's 4 somehow. Our F1 should be used with combination of players and other draft options (except 3) to the maximum. I think MM and Sam are onto it and I have all the confidence that they will somehow get it done.

If it’s 2/3 for 1 with a bit more to north that seems like a good deal for both. Would surely mean eagles take Curtin and McKercher. With that clarity of who is going where getting the Suns pick 4 giving us the next 2 picks even more valuable. Clubs who want someone will come hard for our pick and if who they want is not Bailey v2 surely we listen to it seriously.

I haven't felt this way since Cadman and Sheezel played their way out of our hands. I swear to god if Zane ends up at Norf I will buy up every cafe on Arden street and replace their coffee with Nescafé gold.
