Lance Collard. Thats the one!
That's one that grabbed my eye, but a couple of concerns, mainly he will be gone late in 2nd at latest hence with the draft capital we have and will need for our other recruits I think he will be out of reach, more worrying is the fact that in researching him I can across a couple of criticisms referring to him as a big downhill skier who can disappear for large parts of the game. Not something we need in our flakey list?

Looking at some options that may be around or close to where we may strike , this guy looked promising , has speed, kicks goals, bit of attitude to him, nice sidestep, moving up the boards unfortunately.

Think our defence is pretty much crap until it isn't. Until we have a back 6 we know get the job done maybe look at anything that could work there?

Can't stack the list with KPPs. We have too many on the list already, and we're replacing like for like in trade. Lycett/Hayes out and Sweet in, BZT for Jonas, Clurey maybe for Esava.

If the trade period works out as expected our drafting should be focused on smalls where we lack depth massively.

Jed Hagan small forward/midfielder playing in our SANFL team has shown good potential, he'd be likely drafted into our AFL side

Wouldn’t think so. With sanders, it seems north could take McKercher and Sanders and back themselves to hold on to them. Not many Tassie boys want to leave Melbourne after a couple of years.
With North Melbourne getting Sanders who is a really good mid with their NGA, it wouldn't surprise me if they decided to get the 3rd Duursma. They have plenty of midfielders, they need goal kickers and he definitely can do that. Plus he could go into the midfield too

Surprising that he's only 18 years old.

Zane Zakostelsky won Mel Whinnen Medal for BOG after Claremont won the Colts premiership in the WAFL yesterday.

He'd be under notice now.

Vigo finished the season off well for Sandringham yesterday. Clearly the best Ruck out there but you'd have expected him to be as he had a bit of height and size on the Eastern Ranges talls.

Patrick Hughes. 184cm 84kg.

Co winner of the Moorish Medal.
Inside bull for the Geelong Falcons. The Moorish Medal has thrown up some pretty good players who do go on with it.

I would pick 4 of these types to give us some physical presence around packs and flanks. Enough 175cm 70kg waifs.

Might get another few cms out of them in the next couple of years. Also think these measurements are dated now they've grown a little since?

Logan Morris great hands

Gun at junior level although I have my doubts stepping up to AFL, purely based on that awkward height and athleticism. Possibly no real room for improvement due to being 191cm and 90kg at 17 years old. Anyway, he’ll be given a chance and let’s see what happens.

We are looking for a list of the top bottom 20 in the draft [emoji4]

Just throwing names out there worth a look.

RiT’s shopping list, would be very happy with three of the following on the main list and the filling Rookie list;

Main
Patrick Hughes
Cooper Lord
Lance Collard
Vigo Visentini
Ashton Moir
Zane Zakostelsky - Pending combine results (quick tall Defender = Buy)

Rookie
Slade
W.Elliott
K.Ryan
Hagan

Some clubs are looking at this type of player as a dual role midfield/half forward - whether or not he can be a decent 2nd string midfielder is the question..

Zane Zakostelsky Key Defender

height: 194cm weight: 91kg

Vigo Visentini Ruck

height: 203cm weight: 97kg

Taylor Goad Ruck from SA

Only interested in Zakostelsky if he holds elite speed, or else he will be another Passini/Jonas/McKenzie/Clurey/McCallum

Tested well preseason.

“A couple of West Australian speedsters also showcased their searing pace. Small forward Lance Collard clocked a second-best 20m sprint time of 2.840 seconds, while 194cm defender Zane Zakostelsky was fourth at 2.850 seconds.”

He’s getting pumped up about the place though so can see him being a 2 round pick.

Scouting Notes Sandringham vs Eastern Ranges.

No mention of Billy McGee Galimberti’s game.
Was on Watson while Watson was forward and did a pretty decent job.

Tyson Sruk doesn't rate a mention most places but very consistent all year.

Midfielder/Defender | 180cm | 24/08/2005

Stats: 37 disposals, 8 clearances, 9 inside 50s

“Sruk is a player whose season perhaps hasn’t yielded the accolades of others, but he once again put up a monster stat line to lead all comers in Eastern’s losing Grand Final. A solid operator on the inside with good power and work ethic, the top-ager was scrappy at times but found the ball in all areas and kicked what looked like being a crucial goal in the final quarter – to no avail.”

I know both Morris and Rudd played midfield at junior level and dominated. Key forward has been a new role in Coates League given their height. Seen Rudd thrown into midfield a few times and he has great footy IQ.

At the moment looks like we won't have the draft capital.
