Scouting notes AFL academy vs Carlton VFL.

Interesting Nick Watson hasn't really done that much in any of the representative games?

Delean definitely on the rise, Orlando Turner going well either a good fit for Port.

Aston Moir just not hitting his straps yet could end up a bargain pick.

In South Australia, Hawthorn Father Son William McCabe and his Central Districts teammate Liam Fawcett have impressed, while Norwood’s Logan Evans has joined the pair in South Australia’s National Championships squad.

In the pattern of lets pick a midfielder who could play as a small fwd

Narkle has been having some great numbers for essendon in the vfl

This guy may be at 37 - from testing 207cm ruckman , basketball background , souths u18s , sub 3sec sprint for 20m -

Taylor GoadSouth Adelaide2.92s
Nice find, just did a quick google search of him and found this vid.
Definitely someone we should look at!
207cm mobile rucks are a rarity could be a steal like Kyle Marshall

Just cant help thinking we would get peanuts in return, although both in my eyes are clearly worth something in the 1st rd.
If Bergman decides to leave, and I hope he does not; every Victorian club will be lining up to make him an offer.
And if indeed he does leave us; it will be a win for both; that is, him and the Club.

The clubs will bid to pay him as much as possible, Bergman will then agree with the highest bidder (sometimes other factors like job security, premiership prospects and club personnel will come into it) and Port will negotiate with that successful bidder.

The club would largely be at the mercy of which club was nominated and what resources they are willing to part with. Losing an OOC player is never a win for the club, especially if it is to a Victorian club that has the media pressure, supporter expectation and ingrained entitlement to "win" a trade by as much as possible.

There is always the non-trade threat of walking him to the bottom Club.
You would not wish your worse enemy to end up at North.

I reckon if he does leave, he will look after us (with a fair trade).
Just like when Judd went to Carlton instead of the Pies, where Juddy asked Eddie:

What were Collingwood trading to the Eagles; Eddie replied:
Don't you worry about that son, just leave it to us.

Kevin Sheehans write up on Dantes little brother.

Think we will find a spot somewhere.

VIGO VISENTINI

Club: Sandringham Dragons/Brighton Beach FC/ Xavier College

Height: 203 cm

Weight: 97 kg

DOB: 05/09/05

A promising ruckman with the size and athletic ability to really influence the play, Visentini became an important member of the Dragons’ premiership team last year. There he provided first-use of the ball to the likes of Will Ashcroft and Cameron McKenzie - who both went on to be top-10 draft picks - and he has continued to develop in the early part of this season. A strong overhead mark with a good natural leap, he averaged 10.8 disposals and 16.8 hitouts across the opening four rounds of the Coates Talent League season. He is the younger brother of Dante Visentini, who was drafted to Port Adelaide in 2021.

Ashton Moir going around in these games with a bung hip is questionable?

Will end up a 2nd round pick ( or at the Crows[emoji848])

Theres every chance he slides, as all SA players seem to, but he’s clear top 3 on talent

Trial Phantom done on the draft board.

Picked up:

Taylor Goad - 207cm ruck. Fasted junior in the state. Raw

George Stevens - 188cm Defender/Midfielder. AFL academy grad with great skills and leasership. Future captain potential. Plays like Houston. Ready to go.

Bailey Harbour - 189cm defender. More of a Jonas type replacement. Sound defensively and can play tall and small

You mean Taylor Goad.... That would be a great pick if we get him!
What about Tom Wheaton? Anyone pick him?
