Our SANFL side beat the AFL U18 Academy earlier in the year. They ended up beating Carlton's VFL side.

But only if we also take one of their former 1st round picks off their hands as well. The Suns 1st round pick will more likely than not be up for grabs.

If Bergman decides to leave, and I hope he does not; every Victorian club will be lining up to make him an offer.Just cant help thinking we would get peanuts in return, although both in my eyes are clearly worth something in the 1st rd.
If Bergman decides to leave, and I hope he does not; every Victorian club will be lining up to make him an offer.
And if indeed he does leave us; it will be a win for both; that is, him and the Club.
There is always the non-trade threat of walking him to the bottom Club. The clubs will bid to pay him as much as possible, Bergman will then agree with the highest bidder (sometimes other factors like job security, premiership prospects and club personnel will come into it) and Port will negotiate with that successful bidder.
The club would largely be at the mercy of which club was nominated and what resources they are willing to part with. Losing an OOC player is never a win for the club, especially if it is to a Victorian club that has the media pressure, supporter expectation and ingrained entitlement to "win" a trade by as much as possible.
They need points for three of their academy picks tis year.Who do they need to dump?
I'd happily buy pick 8-10 in this draft.

Trial Phantom done on the draft board.
Picked up:
Ashton Goad - 207cm ruck. Fasted junior in the state. Raw
George Stevens - 188cm Defender/Midfielder. AFL academy grad with great skills and leasership. Future captain potential. Plays like Houston. Ready to go.
Bailey Harbour - 189cm defender. More of a Jonas type replacement. Sound defensively and can play tall and small
