At the moment, Nick Watson or Zane Duursma.

Duursma all day every day. Port go past Duursma for any reason it's pitchfork time.

I like Nick Watson but every pick before 10 I'd be thinking I like Nick but he's 170cm and there's someone else I like taller.

Every pick after 10 my thinking changes to he's 170 cms but.....

Earlier this year norf were trying to get Sanders added to their nga list, i'm not sure if they were successful but if so you'd imagine norf would be trying to get an exemption to be allowed to draft him as he's going top 10.

He’s a star too.

I wonder what clubs will do with the 2 Tassie mids. They should be very early picks but will be prime targets for poaching in a few years time. It has to factor in.
Yes and no. We have numerous Vic, QLD, NT, WA, Tas and NSW players on our list - Every club does. Not every player wants to go home. Besides, I suspect clubs will do alright out of players going home. It’s different if a player says he wants to stay home like Sheezel, Perkins, Wingard and that Dons player from a few years back.

We'll take them [emoji4]

Thinking any club worth their salt backs themselves in to keep them. You make friends you get a girl you move on.

There are clubs that won't take them Crows/North

I had a quick look at some of Duursma's highlights.

He is the real deal.

So a weak WA and SA crop? Or just strong Vic metro and Allies group?

What’s the take on the group as a whole? Standard? Weak? Strong?

Its probably the worst SA group in 20 years

Issue here being the strength and performance of the underaged kids ie. Josh Smillie, Levi Ashcroft and Jagga Smith against SA and Draper for SA makes it hard to make a judgement on those outside the top 10 eligible for this draft.

I'd go with top 5 are guns and its looking hard to miss out getting something decent first round.

KPDs are a struggle but Rucks getting talked up?

Personally I believe we could sign Mitch and Bergman go into the draft with the picks we've got and find a couple of really nice pick ups.

We lose Mitch and Bergman I'd bundle those picks to get as high up as we could and I'd still be happy with that pick and a couple of back end picks.

So a chance there are no South Aussies in the first round? Maybe even second?

WA appears to be Curtain, Edwards or bust so not much better.

Does this warrant a talent review for SA/WA? Or just happens sometimes?

No. Jack Delean is a 1st round pick.

Moir is interesting. He's managing a hip issue should not be playing for mine. You can't play though the middle injured. SA are poor, really poor he can't sit forward and kick goals.

He's also strong on how important his family is to him when being interviewed by interstate clubs ( code for I'm not hanging around if a interstate club picks me up?)

I suspect he's Port or Crows for the taking and the Crows midfield tells you they can't use an early pick.

I can see him ending up here if we end up with a 10-15 pick.

What are our pressing needs over the next few drafts?

CHB would have to be up there?

Our key defenders going into next season likely will be

McKenzie Alir clurey pasini McCallum and Marshall.

One of those will be 32, 1 looks like the club has written him off and 3 are untried at afl level.

Yeah we need to target a key defender. I suspect we might not be looking for one in the draft though but for one aged 22-28.

Our entire list of in and under mids is wines and drew and our only genuine mids outside of our current 22 is Jackson and sinn if you think he will end up there and not as a flanker / wingman.

I’d be surprised if theres any more than 4-5 drafted in the main draft then maybe a couple rookies. Theres just no depth in the SA side this year.

Moir and McCabe probably first round, thats about it

If you are already playing reserves/league footy can you not play for the State under 18's team? Can't understand why Chad Reschke who's still only 17 and leading reserves goal kicker in the SANFL isn't in the state under 18's team nor a top 20 draft candidate from SA.
