Well for a club that had any intent to develop and play those guys sure

I really like pasini but at this point he’s gonna be 23 before next season starts, we’ve just signed McKenzie for another year and we’re going to bring in another key defender in esava or someone else…

If Hinkley is here there’s just no chance he’s picking pasini in 2024 barring a massive injury list and even then, we’ve had that this year and he’s picked jase Burgoyne over pasini.

I don’t think I’m being overly dramatic when I say we might as well not include pasini in our future key defender stocks cause as we know Hinkley is going to torch a kpp’s career before it begins by never giving them a chance to develop in the middle of blooding midget / flanker #39,791.

Right now the only chance pasini , Marshall or MacCallum have of playing afl is if they outlast the coach, cause he will burn them and discard every single one of them, and with pasini being ooc in 2024 I’m no longer sure he will outlast Hinkley at the club.

Yeah he gets a pass on form due to hip for mine, but not being able to play healthy does mean he didn’t answer questions, ie can he play midfield ?

So I’m not picking him with an eye to being a midfielder if he’s not proven in that position. But I’m happy to pick him on what I’ve seen from him as a forward.

I think he becomes good value pretty quickly when the high end players are off the board…
I know someone who does a bit of scouting for afl clubs and his take was Moir is the sort of athlete that would walk in to any club in the afl and instantly be in the top few athletically at the club. His year has been down due to injury. If he is there at our first pick I would hope we don’t over look him, even without proven midfield ability. Not that I imagine our first pick will be where it is currently if we land any of our trade targets.

Zane Duursma

It is OK to point to Zane but how are we going to get him with no money in the kitty? Our first pick is #37 so unless we sell the farm there is no way we are going to get a top 5 pick. In fact I am not entirely rapt in Zane's older brother as he is injury prone and seems to take a lot of time to recover from injury. Maybe we should think about going the other way and trading Xavier to Zane's suitor?

As of Aug 12 we still have 16 uncontracted players to sign and among those are Mitch Georgiades, Kane Farrell, Dylan Williams, Riley Bonner, Jase Burgoyne and Hugh Jackson. As there is no urgent rush to sign any of these maybe one or two of them are contemplating a move so they could be used to trade us up the order a bit. Then again maybe Davies, Parker and Co are that rapt in their blinding success at re signing the superspud for 2 years that they have forgotten about the rest?

Wow, Ford simply posts one name and he gets such an evocative reponse from the rapitilian.

It's been reported that Dylan Williams has just signed up for 2 years:)

Zane will be in the top ten, a bridge too far for our picks.

The only trade currency we have is MG where it would his call to stay or go.
Let's say hypothetically Mitch want to go home to West Coast; who may offer their second rounder, about pick 20; still not enough for Zane.

Yes, we would have to put up more than just Mitch.

Trey Rusco noted as one of five possible trade targets for Port.

Finding it hard to get into Magpie's backline when he has Moore, Howe, Murphy and Frampton to knock out.

Strong one-on-one, good mark, excellent body positioning skills. Could be what we need? May improve on VFL form given half a chance?

His last 6 AFL games in 2021 he averaged 16 disposals and 4 marks.

Can't say I remember seeing him play!
Worth a future 3rd rounder trade?

Isaiah Dudley. 3 goals for Central yesterday.

Would still like to give him a run on a afl list.
He has the athletic ability of Willie Rioli looks to at least be trying to get a little weight off looking at the video?

What's with all of this goal scoring mumbo-jumbo?

The real questions is can Dudley set a pick like McEntee.

And just for the record, I would love a goalsneak down at the club.

5 goals for the season and played in the reserves half the time. What's that about?

A couple of South Australian players are doing their prospects no harm. The opportunistic Jack Delean has fitted into South Adelaide’s team with aplomb, booting two goals from two games after being elevated up to the club’s SANFL league team.
A 181cm small forward, Delean in the national championships was a constant threat inside 50 — despite South Australia’s poor carnival — finishing with 9.3 playing predominantly close to goal. But he’s shown his willingness to work up the ground and provide a link option for South Adelaide in the SANFL recently, while also showing off his excellent goal nous.
Despite his good league form, Delean is set to return to South Adelaide’s Under 18s team – which sits on top of the ladder – ahead of the finals series. Scouts would like to see an improvement in his running capacity and defensive pressure.
The other emerging SA prospect is Delean’s South Adelaide teammate Taylor Goad, who’s upped the ante in the Under 18s competition since the national championships. He’s averaged 15 disposals, 24 hit-outs, five clearances and four inside 50s in his past three games.

I like McKercher more than Duursma, there's a clear top 3 for me. I wonder if teams will be wary about McKercher with a Tassie team on the horizon and whether they'll cause him to slide a bit - will be just coming into his prime when they arrive.
