One of the reasons is that the derby match's average 190.4 over the last 5 games, so the "heat" seems to bring out high scores.
No need for sarcasm I understand the Derby History but Brisbane are playing a bit different this year I guess but stilll definately prone to a higher total game where they let opposition do ok eg vs demons

would be more confident if it wasn't at Metricon, you are right Brisbane defensively better now too.

4/5 at Metricon have cleared the total between these two. Yeah I’d prefer the Gabba but we would be looking at a much higher total to bet on. The original 163/164 is a gift imo and wins 80-90% of the time, the stats back this up:
If we had a 164 total at the Gabba I’d have 10+ units on.

Why do players hate it?

It isnt about them anyway, its about the degenerates wants and needs. We NEED Thursday night footy!

Probably their rest and what not. If it’s good enough for league why isn’t it for AFL? Play one on Thursday

Carlton are now playing more direct risky footy this should lead to an end to end game it's just a matter of execution for both teams for this game to hit the over 159.5... weather is clearing by early afternoon apparantly.. Pies won't shy away from taking risks too so could sail well over if the interceptors don't take over the game (Moore, Weitering etc)

hey guys sorry but can someone post the site that has Heatmaps and the points against per position eg points conceded to full forwards, ive googled for ages and can't find the heat maps:( I feel a few dogs mids may kick the goals vs GWS (Smith, Daniel, Bailey Williams, Libba) with the GWS being strong in the key posts at the minute, so might hit up some bets there

PointsBet offering a free multi hit of 2+ legs on Carlton vs. Collingwood tonight fyi. Doesn't appear to have any minimum odds.

Bazlenka always a good price for goals with how many shots he puts up, painful watch though usually

McStay 2
McCreery
Martin 2
TDK
$32.25 SB free swing

I like McCreery to get more opportunities with no Hill in the side and no other genuine crumbing forwards. Also think TDK will get chances; with Pittonet back in the side and no Silvagni/McKay he's the only other tall option to partner Curnow.

SB free swing:

Daniel McStay
To Score 2 or More Goals

Jamie Elliott
To Score 3 or More Goals

George Hewett
To Get 25 or More Disposals

Nick Daicos
To Score 2 or More Goals

Charlie Curnow
To Score 2 or More Goals

Jesse Motlop
Any Time Goal Scorer

Brody Mihocek
To Score 2 or More Goals

Screw you lol, just put North vs Eagles on we all need comedy
Its actually not a bad suggestion, no one cares about this game on the last game of the round, but placing it on a Thursday night would have made it the relevant to the AFL world.

Interestingly it could have easily have been scheduled without impacting either teams as both teams played on the previous Saturday.
