I'm taking a punt on Hunter Clark for Yeo/Bowes. Spent the last day since the Yeo news dropped making my team progressively worse, so went back to the original and just grabbed Clark. Had three years of mid 70s-80 prior to last year. If he averages 55 again I will feel bad, but I believe in him (kinda).

Got named on the ball…

Weitering owners will be laughing tonight. He had a great last quarter scoring 48 Supercoach points for a total of 120 the whole game.

We really should be more eternally grateful that every new SC year allows for previously unexplored conversational terrain...'Weitering owners'...;)

With all of our injuries I’m considering Liam Stocker.. only $213k

50/50 between him and Liam Jones
I was tossing up between Stocker and Jones too. I thought I was going crazy and the only one

I'm sticking with Bowes.

I'm ready to be hurt again Scotty.
Seems kinda crazy but I think Im going to as well. Constable cover this week...

Just cannot figure out who else I want?
I have $428,000 and have decided I don't want Jones.
I already had Day and Clark at D3, D4.
Maybe a POD with a chance with a $295,000 player from the swans could be alright...hhhhmmmmmm

Could bring in Cunnington and turn a mid premo into a Def premo

Edit:
I just went stuff it and re did my whole team.

Def now Sicily, Doc, Dawson, Clarke, Gibney, Mckena, Wilmont, Cowan

Have Constable + Chesser in the mids.

Might look to swap out one of Cowan to Ned Long (MF WCE) a big watch for now.

Got Cunnington... thiunking now I will bring a rookie on field and field Constable and then just watch how bowes goes and bring him in if he does well.
I'll end up with close to $300k in the kitty to make rookie corrrections etc.

I'm not seeing the value in McKenna personally, maybe constable on field in defence, Chesser or Bytel in the mids. Think Wilmot will be good, scored 52 from 9 possesions going at 44% DE in the PS match. if he cleans that a little he's scoring 70's.

Good luck for the year

PS - Its Noah Long from WC, Ned Long is from the hawks and will probably get a game this year and a bullocking inside mid. but not yet...

I think the value with McKenna is he averaged 80 in the past playing half back and is set there again so seems a known quantity.

His biggest question seems to be Job security with Zorko back soon. Could be Wilmont or him that goes out or another moves position.

I think the known quantity of it is what makes it desirable for me

Yeah cool...I'm going Wilmot instead as cheaper and think he's a bit silky with his disposal and could score very well.

Any love for Ed Richards dogs fans? Obviously they have Dale back there and others so a tad risky. They seem to want the ball in his hands with his dash of HB. Looks good value at 460k?

Can’t trust our lunatic of a coach unless it’s a star like Bont / English / Macrae.

I’ll never learn, just re watched the first half and think may have been Bevo’d with Liam Jones rotating lock down on Tom Mac, Ben Brown and other Melb talls leaving Bruce to intercept, now watch him toss the salad and free him up again next week if fit.

Yeo is almost ready .....video here of him doing sprints, to test that calf .....he's a gazelle, in full flight. a thing of beauty

Rampe seems to be flying under the radar.

He went big. I didn’t see any of the game. Any impressions from those that did?

Change of role and does his role look secure?

Thoughts on Jake Bowey? Reckon he will take the kick-ins while May and Salem are out. His DE is immaculate which is good for scoring. Have him at D4.

I traded him in for Yeo, did his job but not outstanding. I’m hoping he’ll be a solid role player until upgrade season.

check his history then see if you still want to get on

Very disappointing from Docherty.

Blues have a good run coming up though, so I'm expecting a few monster scores in those games. Junk galore.

Giants
Norf
Crows
Saints
Eagles

On the contrary, Doc only averaged 97 against those clubs last year. Probably mids and forwards who filled their boots - Cripps Walsh Kennedy 110+ v Roos, Cripps & Curnow a combined 300 v Crows, Cripps Walsh Kennedy Curnow AND McKay 110+ v Giants.

Slow the play down type general defenders are probably steady v bottom sides, with less pressure to make mistakes, but they aren’t getting the big points (CP, GA, goals)
