Arent the two related ir if you kick the ball and it doesnt go anywhere near its intended target thats kicking no matter how you spin it.
Except it usually does go near its intended target. And at a higher rate than our others defenders manage too as well if you look at their kick efficiency stats.

Could we trade with Norff, or WC after they ream Norff?

Out: 13, 21, 40
In: 15, 18, 57, F3rd (Norff)

Upgrade Mase from the rookie list, maybe get Docking. Another 3rd round pick next year.
North and Ade have 38 players and 8 rookies. We have 36 players and 8 rookies, therefore we can draft up to 6 players which we won't.

Can see Wood and Camaniti getting a list spot and we draft 3 max 4 and keep 2 spots for rookies. If we need another list spot, then DMac moves on as a rookie.

As for draft picks would prefer our present hand but another f3rdp may be an interesting strategic move. Gives us plenty of currency for those needing them next year

He hits most of his targets. Fans get frustrated when he holds the ball too long and gets caught. Rarely turns the ball over by foot. Just trying to get around players instead of dishing off by hand that lets him down. Some times he spoils instead of marking too.

McLennan : Cat B
Peris : Delisted Cat B : Replaced by O' Connell

42 other spots permitted. Some will be rookies , don't really care which.

NOTE : If you have a long term injury you can take a mid-season rookie, I think the resultant over listing needs to be fixed at the end of year.

Coffield X ,Jones 1, Gresham X, Crouch 2, Ross 3, Wanganeen Milera 4, Hill 5, Steele 6, Owens 7, Clark 8 ,King 9 ,Byrnes 10
Stocker 11, Billings X, Butler 12, Windhager 13, Hayes 14, Marshall 15 , Howard 16, Cordy 17, Higgins, 18 , Bytel X , Phillipou 19

Henry 37. Dow 38.

4 spots remaining. 3 drafts and a rookie i assume.

Howard only riles me up now with his actual defending. Naz’s arrival has helped enormously in terms of taking away kick outs and rebounding kicks.

But in the main with the ball in hand and a bit of time he’s pretty decent.

Howard's kicking isn't an issue, it's his decision making can bring him undone and even that's been over blown on here. He's always rated right up the top of the tall back kicking efficiency.
Howard’s issues are 3 fold…decision making, body on body defending and has hard hands when trying to mark.
All in all not a lot going for Dougal!!

He's unfortunately in the category of player where fans only remember the 1-2 mistakes he makes in a game rather than the 20 good things he does.

SOS has stated the club will select 3 players in the draft, makes sense given pick 4 is 92.
DMac will be given every opportunity to show he’s capable of getting back on the park, with Highmore now a requirement due to Coffield leaving.
That’ll leave a list spot opening for a delisted FA
Awesome

Have we got another mature aged player in mind with Highmore being delisted? Our VFL side are going to be short a tall defender with only Cordy & Van Es.

Howard was literally in the top 10 efficiency and accuracy for kicking in the entire AFL. So out of the 800 or so AFL players he was top 10 for efficiency. Would probably suggest Howard hits his targets, I'd imagine.

-----------------

Highmore turns 26 in Feb , and he didn't look like ever being more than depth.

Highmore gone. Thought he’d stay after coffield got traded. We suddenly have no interceptors other than Battle who’s a bit different in role

It was surprising Highmore lasted this long during trade period.

I liked him and wanted him to make it, yet unfortunately he was reduced to extreme break glass.

Might free up Alison to play that role.

He's not going to make it as a fwd and doesn't get enough of it on the wing

According to this, Allison has played CHB for three of his four games this year.
Also played on the backline a lot last year, so i'm not sure he needed Highmore gone to free him up.

- Matthew Allison

From the Saints.

St Kilda’s first-round draft pick from 2020, Matthew Allison is yet to see any senior action as he continues to develop and find the position where he can be most impactful.

Allison was experimented across all lines during the 2022 VFL campaign, with an emphasis on growing his contest work from Development Coach Jake Batchelor driving Allison to near his best.

The Calder Cannons recruit polled eighth in Sandringham’s 2022 Best & Fairest, being one of six Saints to finish inside the top-10.
---------------
Translation:
Allison isn't really good at anything, but if he finds something he's good at , to AFL standard , we'll happily use him.

He's unfortunately in the category of player where fans only remember the 1-2 mistakes he makes in a game rather than the 20 good things he does.

I see it's a common theme on this forum to repeat one self ad infinitum on certain topics.

So i will join in too!

What you say includes the coaches too as he was declared fully fit for the final and OVERLOOKED.

Dayyyyum!
