Well we have 6, 11 and a future first. That's too much for Darling and Reid.

They want us to trade Petty then send them four first rounders for pick 1 and Darling.

They can ask all they want. We do that deal and I'm out
Only way I'd do it is if we were getting two firsts for Petty which won't happen.

Still think it's overpriced. Darlings 31 he's worth like pick 40.
So basically it's 3 or 4 firsts for Reid. **** that
We'd atleast need an early second back so one of the firsts is a pick slide.

Yeah you're right, it's basically the same as us trading three firsts for Reid and Petty for pick 14 which I'm not comfortable with anyway.

Yeah if Petracca asked to leave his starting price would be like 6, 11 and a future first lol. That's crazy for a kid who's never even played.

Think there is zero chance we’re trading Petty, but this makes me think we are a serious chance for pick 1 and they’re looking to include Darling as something coming back the other way. Can’t see any other teams in the mix being at all interested in Darling but we could be given our forward line issues (would rather a decent pick or younger player personally)

Knowing us I wouldn't be surprised if we've already made that offer but this news shows West Coast are actually pretty keen to trade so I wouldn't even bite the Darling offer better off sitting tight now that they've shown their hand.

I do think if we take Reid he'll be a bloody gun because it's way easier to develop in a decent side but * the pressure on him would be huge.
Listening to him speak he's a super self-assured sort. Has looked great in VFL games hes played. I think he'll be great in any side but you just never know until they get to the real stuff.

I know it's 2nd year vs 1st but look at how much better JHF looked in a midfield surrounded by players to protect him and also dominate. Reid will be WCs best mid essentially game one I reckon he'll struggle. Comes in for us and he can focus on rounding out his game before being a match winner

I will say that even if we did overpay it would be bloody exciting to get him and see what we can do with him. Although I'd certainly melt a bit.

Come on Demons. It would be a huge get to add such incredible talent to our team. Praying we get him now 🙏

Would take Darling, he walks into our best 22.

I'm not sure about that. Only averaged just over one goal a game this year.

I'd have Petty, JVR a fit Melk and even Joel Smith ahead of him; maybe Fullerton might be more useful too.

He's also not a great contested mark.

In a terrible team at the worst part of the ground to be in a terrible team.. Got to add some tax to all his stats.

No world beater but still looked fine to me in some of the games I saw last year.

Ask yourself, if we're rewinding back to our finals series this year and we had the option between Tmac or Darling as our key forward, I know who I'd much rather..

I think we'd be silly to at least not have the conversation. Tex Walker and Tom Hawkins were All Australian forwards at 33 years of age, so why can't he rejuvenate his career?

New environment and a fresh start could do wonders for him.

Darling is 31.

So if we're going to do that deal, we'd need to get two first round picks from Adelaide, and something else back from WC.
