See this is actually shithouse research by you and just simply making it up as you go. You're throwing darts just for the sake of it

Both Walter and O'Sullivan played for the Allies as teammates in this game and throughout the championships.

That’s even worse. If he hasn’t played on Walter, what notable key forwards has he got experience against.

Good ol' Concrete Mitts Dawes.

So we have a dual AA ruckman and 3 premiership players going out, with 1 bloke who can’t stay on the park (McAdam) and one bloke who can’t get a run (Fullerton) to bolster our stocks.

Anyone else worried we are going backwards? Not really inspired by this trade period when we should be making moves in our window.

We will go backwards at this rate while Sydney (Grundy/Adams/Hamling/Jordan), St Kilda (Henry/Dow), Essendon (McKay/Gresham/Goldstein/Duursma) and Bulldogs (Coffield/Harmes/Watson/Croft) look to pass us and Collingwood make that gulf bigger with Schultz. Even Port with Ratugolea/BZT and Jordan Sweet will be stronger.

Absolute piss take on our end with an obvious very limited prep or priming of targets done.

The real tell tail is how we rang Hawkins last week instead of 6-8 weeks ago when contract issues were starting.

Apart from the Pies getting Schulz (and maybe Swans Grundy) no team has made major inroads this trade period; so No.

As long we draft a couple of good kids and Clarry is ok for next year well be fine for another assault.

So you literally just lied your way through that whole last post..

Wouldn’t call it a lie, what notable key forwards has O’Sullivan taken on (and beaten). That’s the point to my post.

Whether he played on Walter or not that day doesn’t really change the fact that the u18 key forward stocks are trash and if anything him not playing on him highlights that risk even further.

"Chris can be proud of his contribution to Collingwood. He played some good football for the club, where he has been a popular figure, and shared in the 2010 premiership,'' Collingwood director of football, Geoff Walsh, said in a statement.

"In his time with us, Chris always gave what he had and for that we thank him. We wish him well.''

....sounds like a club devastated we "poached" Dawes

So funny

We have struggled to lock down this position for decades.

Exactly the type of forward we need with our set up and current ball use, someone who can fly for marks and create a contest in packs. Far better fit than Hawkins.

I'd argue Chol doesn't really do that. His biggest issue is his lack of competitiveness, too often he tries to get an easy one out the back.

I did say he was lazy, but he can jump and give the opposition something to worry about in the air. When was the last time you saw Hawkins take a pack mark.

Not much else they could do so accepted and moved on.

But Collingwood 4 years in the top 4 dropped out once Dawes left. Was a big loss.

Find it interesting Lambs comments to trade radio was the nail in the coffin. Would’ve thought a direct conversation about Petty between the 2 clubs would be the line in the sand but here we have it. List managers communicate and make key list decisions via trade radio interviews.

Like saying Geelong didnt get over the loss of Byrnes and Gillies. Ridiculous.

Buckley took over from Malthouse with a different philosophy and game plan , that was more the reason for the fall than Dawes.

I think you misspelled 'I was wrong'.

Curtin grew a couple of cms and tested as 197cm at the combine last week.

That’s one tall midfielder!
2cms taller than Jeff White a cm shy or dead-even of Paddy Ryder who were both Rucks.

Yeah I wasn’t been serious that Dawes was the reason for their drop off.

Although Buckley did make top 4 2012 with Dawes, 2013 without him they struggled.

I look forward to actively participating in this thread and giving my insightful views after watching a grand total of 0 minutes of u/18s footy!
Yeah I'm the same. I have no idea who any of these guys people keep talking about. I trust the drafting team know alot more than we do about who to pick and their track record suggests they will pick someone good.

Yeah nah.

Stop making up shit. Proves you've clearly haven't watched a second of O'Sullivan play this year and are basing your argument on zero facts or evidence.

See, if you had actually watched any live games youd noticed that he hasn't come up against any notable key forwards this year because not only are there aren't many gun key forwards in this year's draft but he's also spent time up forward in some games for the Murray Bushrangers because one of his strengths is his ability to go back and forward.

'Sully' played off in the senior grand final this year for the mighty and tough Albury Tigers who have built a strong reputation as one of the most fiercest and successful country football clubs in Victoria/NSW. Played up forward and played well against Yarrawonga who are also another renown tough footy club.

The kid can absolutely hold his own against men already.

That was my exact point, for those who saw him as a May replacement, he is yet to even prove he can play the role. And just because everyone doesn’t have an opportunity / time to travel all over state to watch them play “in person” like you love to so often remind everyone that you do doesn’t mean they can’t share there thoughts.

BF isn’t an exclusive forum for people who have the luxury to do so to own the roost over those who don’t thank ****. My opinion stands that it’s a huge risk to bring him in at pick 6 to be a May replacement if that’s what people were hoping.

Jeez it's embarrassing how many times Collingwood have fleeced us over the past decade. Paid a first round pick for Dawes, traded Howe for Ben Kennedy and Mitch Clark for Lumumba while they got Varcoe, then helped them get Grundy off their list just for fun too.

Do you believe everything you read?
Do you really think Lamb didn't tell Adelaide this before the interview?
Do you believe that the whole trade period is conducted via the media?
Do you believe the media doesn't sensationalise minor stories or fabricate stories at trade time to fill their advertisement heavy trade radio shows and newspapers?
