Yeah that's true but Allen is basically a solid a B grade player. I'd be appalled if we gave three firsts for him. If we're throwing that kind of currency around then get Ben King.

TBH I like Allen more than King.

I think how good Allen really is is being hidden coz of how bad West Coast have been the past 4 years. Hard work being a KPF playing for that dumpster fire.

I like Allen but that's a stretch. King goes at about .5 a goal higher than Allen and is younger and taller.

Really don't think you'd have to sell the farm to get him especially if he wants to go.

That's a cultural insult.
Allen is our one and only true genuine A grader who could be elite.
I know you look at his numbers this year and think meh, not bad.

You have to keep in mind as a team we are all time levels of bad. He's scoring goals week in week out despite getting absolutely no supply. In fact, last week was the first game he didn't score a goal all season - because he was sent down back early on.

Irrespective of what he may be worth, he's our one true untradeable player. Almost certainly captain next season with his only real rival for the role Barrass off to Sydney (apparently). I don't think any offer would get it done unless he was the one pushing for it. I'm not saying he's the best forward in the competition either, I'm saying its his worth to the club. Our new spiritual figurehead, the same was Kennedy was. There isn't a single Eagles fan alive who doesn't adore Josh Kennedy and his years of being an absolute gun, even though objectively Buddy Franklin was the benchmark forward.

We have other needs and would be wasting our draft capital on a single player who simply isn't anywhere near that at this stage of his career.

Yeah I’m not sold on the King brothers. As ridiculous as it sounds they can’t be trusted with their effort and aren’t durable. Genuinely would prefer Allen over either of them.
